All three won on Adrian Wall’s heavy ground article last week – View Monday’s now!

Giveaway Glance jumping the last hurdle at Catterick

It’s a quiet enough but competitive day of racing on Monday, with three meetings across Britain. We’ll have horse racing tips on the website, including a NAP of the Day. Catterick is a notoriously tough venue to get home in when the ground is heavy. You need a horse proven in the conditions to be successful and we’ve found three horses who fit that profile on Monday. The details can be found below.

2.00 Catterick

Daly Boy was picked up for £60,000 after finishing second to a good type in an Irish point in 2024, and showed a liking for heavy ground when third in an Ayr bumper last spring. He has run well without threatening at Sedgefield and Newcastle and this longer should suit as the first-time headgear combination is also now tried. Must have a big chance for a stable known for improving these types.

2.30 Catterick

Innisfree Lass has an exceptional strike-rate on bottomless ground and although she is now 0-9 over fences, she hasn’t had her ground since finishing second at Chepstow off a mark of 102 at around this time last year. Now running off a lenient mark of 94, with her favoured ground, she should put in a bold performance and the first-time blinkers might aid her cause too.

3.00 Catterick

Joltin N Jiving was bought for £40,000  after landing an Irish point and he easily won a Carlisle novice this time last year. Thought good enough to contest an Aintree Grade 1 next time, he ran well on heavy on Kelso handicap debut and is a big player if his Haydock effort is forgiven. Brian Hughes rides and he has had a wind operation.
