Finding winners is never easy, especially at the big meetings, as the racing is usually very competitive. There are many factors to consider which can often help and course form is one of those.
Some horses perform better at certain tracks than others, which can be an advantage. We’ve got you covered on that front, so here are three runners on Saturday with proven records at their respective courses and all three are currently unbeaten.
They combine to form a juicy treble and it could be worth having a go. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Doyen Quest (9/2, Betfred) is unbeaten in two starts at Warwick, scoring over hurdles and fences here in the spring. Dan Skelton’s gelding has progressed nicely over fences this term and won impressively in a Class 2 event at Exeter in November. He was second in a similar race at Sandown last month and is likely to be in the mix once again.
The Doyen Chief (3/1, Betfred) was a cosy winner on his only visit to Kempton so far and didn’t quite manage to see out the extended 3m2f trip at Cheltenham last time out. The handicapper has dropped Alan King’s nine-year-old a couple of pound since and this sort of trip will be much more to his liking.
Kalif Du Berlais (8/11, Betfred) was an impressive winner of a juvenile hurdle on this card two seasons ago and he followed that up with a game success in the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle. This horse has long been the apple of Paul Nicholls’ eye and he won the Grade 1 Maghull Novices’ Chase in April. He’s better than he showed at Exeter when last seen and an improved performance is anticipated.
