The track is soft on a good day usually and it’s always wise to go with horses who have form in the mud for the big race itself, the 2025 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Longshot to consider

White Birch really enjoys underfoot conditions and has a record that reads 5111 on soft or heavy, the blemish being his debut run, so he’s a very big price and might surprise a few under Dylan Browne McMonagle. He recorded his first Group 1 win when landing the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last year and although he has a bit to find on this year’s runnings, perhaps this ground will help.

Look no further than Aventure

Aventure is probably the most likely winner of the race. Christophe Ferland’s daughter of Sea The Stars finished second in last year’s Arc and arrives here off the back of an emphatic Group 1 win over course and distance. She handles any ground and looks primed to make amends.

Aidan O’Brien’s best chance

She goes very well on quicker ground too but Minnie Hank won her maiden on soft and the Frankel filly should be able to handle these conditions no bother. The triple Oaks winner is very straightforward and has to come into things getting the allowances.
