1. Ambiente Friendly

Won the Listed Derby Trial at Lingfield in great style last time, quickening in the manner of a very good horse. Can be quite keen but this track should suit and he’s a big contender.

2. Ancient Wisdom

Brilliant juvenile campaign, winning the Autumn Stakes at Newmarket and the Futurity Trophy at Doncaster. Looked laboured when second to Economics in the Dante at York last time and has work to do.

3. Bellum Justum

Won a good maiden at Newmarket beating Inisherin who franked the form massively and won on reappearance here at Epsom over 1m2f. Will stay further and he’s no forlorn hope.

4. City Of Troy

Incredible two-year-old campaign, landing the Superlative Stakes and the Dewhurst at Newmarket. Flopped in the 2,000 Guineas when last seen, has to prove stamina and has a terrible draw in stall one. Percentage call is to oppose.

5. Dallas Star

Finshed third in the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket in October but was a shock winner of the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown when last seen and seems to be improving. This is a big ask.

6. Dancing Gemini

Was unfortunate not to win the Poule d’Essai des Poulains at Longchamp when last seen, getting going too late but finished with a wet sail. Certainly has to come into the reckoning in this.

7. Deira Mile

Fourth in the Futurity at Doncaster last year but impressed at Windsor when last seen in a weak enough race. This is a huge step up and he might struggle.

8. Euphoric

Won a maiden at Navan on what was his only start last year and he was far from disgraced when beaten a length into second by big contender Los Angeles in the Derby Trial at Leopardstown. Could run a big race.

9. God’s Window

Won a weak race at Nottingham in style in April but was a remote fifth behind Economics in the Dante at York when last seen, fading out of things late after trying to make all. Won’t be good enough.

10. Kamboo

Half-brother to Sir Erec who built on debut promise when winning at Kempton when last seen, making every post a winning one. Worth a crack at this level.

11. Los Angeles (Free Tip)

Unbeaten colt who won the Criterium de Saint-Cloud last year and was kept up to his work when winning the Derby Trial at Leopardstown when last seen. Huge chance on that bare form and the step up in trip will suit.

12. Macduff

Won on debut at Newmarket last year and looked in need of this trip when a good second behind Arabian Crown in the Classic Trial at Sandown when last seen. One of the more likely outsiders.

13. Mr Hampstead

Brother to Irish Oaks winner Savethelastdance who finished third in a maiden at Chester when last seen and he has no chance in this.

14. Sayedaty Sadaty

Won at Kempton last year and stayed on well late when second behind Caviar Heights in a Listed contest at Newmarket last time. Looks up against it here.

15. Tabletalk

Supplemented for this at a cost of £75,000 off the back of a good maiden win at Chelmsford last time but this is a huge step up in class.

16. Voyage

Looked a classy prospect when winning well at Newbury on debut, arriving on the bridle and forging clear in the manner of a very good horse. Yard is no stranger to success.
