Sean Bowen is having a tremendous season and he has four good chances at Ayr on Monday! Bowen has ridden 11 winners from just 23 rides at the track this season, which is some return! Let’s move onto his four chances below and you can back it using our ready-made betslip!
Bowen’s first assignment is aboard Zamek in the extended 2m3f maiden hurdle and Olly Murphy’s runner must hold every chance. Third in a bumper when trained by Paul Nicholls last season, he has acquitted himself well in maidens to date and could be a different proposition now after a breathing operation, sporting a first-time tongue-tie.
Jaccours is next on the agenda, again for Olly Murphy. The 7yo really impressed when landing a 2m4f Ffos Las maiden on heavy ground last month and although this demands more on his handicap and chase debut, he may be a cut above his rivals if he takes to the larger obstacles.
Next Twist is up next in the 2m novices’ hurdle. He has improved since sent hurdling, winning at Southwell in November and bumped into a decent type when second in a course and distance novice when last seen. He has to take on Irish raider Green Hope whose form has been franked, so it should be a good tussle.
Diamond Geezer has won twice from five starts this term, and ran his best race yet when winning a competitive handicap hurdle over course and distance last time out. The 6lb rise is more than fair and he should have soft ground here which will also play to his strengths.
