He seemed to appreciate the step up to two-miles four-furlongs there and now makes his handicap debut off what could be a potentially lenient opening mark. His main threat may be Eaton Hill, who was a respectable second over today’s course and distance at the Grand National meeting last month and should appreciate the better ground on offer today.
