2.45pm Warwick tips for Wednesday’s Class 4 race. A field of eight go to post for this Class 4 Handicap Hurdle, raced over the 2m 3f distance. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: This should go to GROUNDUNDERREPAIR, who ran one of his best races when third on his seasonal debut at Wincanton. He clearly needed the run but ran with great credit nonetheless, keeping on strongly too late. He gets softer ground which he will love and with Ben Hicks claiming ten pounds, he shouldn’t be for catching. The main danger is Lady Karina, who is completely unexposed for top connections.

1 SHINING ROMEO – Races off a massive joint top weight of 12st 3lb, out of form on his last two hurdling runs for Denis Quinn. In fact, his last run on the flat was also poor and he looks vulnerable on this occasion despite the ground being in his favour.

2 HIT THE HIGHWAY – Winning hurdler who ran well on chasing debut for Giles Smyly, but his two efforts that proceeded were tame to say the least. He was tailed off at Uttoxeter when last seen and he looks vulnerable despite a six pound drop in the weights.

3 DANCEINTOTHELIGHT – Ten year old for Donald McCain who won three starts ago at Sedgefield off an eight pound lower mark, stopping very quickly when tailed off at Fakenham last month. He’s effectively three pounds higher here and although he’s capable on his day, this mark is stiff enough and he looks booked for a struggle.

4 INN THE BULL – Consistent sort who has won twice over the larger obstacles for Alan King, last seen finishing third here over shorter. That was a competitive race and he’s only two pounds higher here, looking sure to benefit from this step up in trip. He has to be respected in a weak looking race for the grade.

5 LADY KARINA – Progressive in three runs thus far for Venetia Williams, getting off the mark at the third attempt with a good victory at Hereford in January. That form has worked out nicely and a mark of 115 on handicap debut isn’t harsh. Key player if ready after the layoff and has to be respected.

6 GROUNDUNDERREPAIR – Six year old who ran a good race on his seasonal debut when third at Wincanton last month, clearly needing the run. Today’s softer ground will suit him much better and he shouldn’t be for catching now he’s pitched into a weaker race.

7 RED TORTUE – Point winner who won his second hurdling start back in November 2014, but he has not been seen since a poor run over fences at this venue for the Mark Wall team. He makes his debut for Jennie Candlish today on the back of a 553 day absence and he makes little appeal.

8 DAVERON – Doesn’t win very often and his current form has been disappointing to say the least, pulled up over the 2m 5f distance here in May. He’s now three pounds lower and hugely well treated at his best, but he needs to bounce back and that is far from guaranteed. Risky.
