6.15pm Wolverhampton tips for Saturday’s race. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: A tough race at first glance but HANDSOME BOB ran his best race yet when third last time out over seven furlongs and looks ready to score now for shrewd trainer Keith Dalgleish with his jockey’s claim an added bonus.

1 LA LA LAND – Top weight for Jamie Osborne’s son of in vogue sire Dark Angel who finished a head second to Dr Richard Kimble at Wolverhampton over course and distance last month under Dougie Costello who is replaced tonight by Timmy Murphy. He ran on well that day and was only having his fourth race suggesting there is plenty of room for further improvement.

2 VOICEMAIL – One win from three starts when running away with a mile maiden at Ripon in August but failed to build on that or even match it on her all-weather debut at Kempton when a five and three-quarter length third to Mahaarat when trying to make all the running. Seems better held up and may well be ridden very differently tonight and if she handles the surface she could surprise a few if not all of them here.

3 CALLING RIO – Still a maiden after seven starts but the Canford Cliffs filly has put in some decent runs in defeat with a half-length third at Nottingham in early October and a length fourth over course and distance last time out, three-quarters of a length behind La La Land who she meets on two pounds better terms here. Should be close between the two them today.

4 COMPLIANCE – Lightly raced with just the three starts with a six-length second at Kempton in September followed by a career-best two and a half-length fifth to Tansheet at Newcastle last time out. Looked a little one-paced that day and may be open to something with a bit more speed here but has room to improve further for trainer James Tate who is without a winner from six starts in the last two weeks.

5 HANDSOME BOB – Callum Rodriguez claims three pounds off the back of Keith Dalgleish’s Most Improved colt who lived up to his name with a career-best three-quarter length third here over seven furlongs on his third and latest start when running on late at odds of 16/1. Likely to improve again and not out of this by any means and an intriguing runner in the circumstances.

6 EL BORRACHO – One win from five starts at Salisbury in August when beating Motabassim by a neck and with the runner-up winning since that form looks solid. Two runs on the all-weather haven’t been as impressive with a seventh at Kempton in June and a three and a half-length fourth at Kempton last time out and he needs to prove he can handle this surface before sensible support.

7 JO’S GIRL – The second Jamie Osborne runner and with Dougie Costello riding, possibly the first string. Last time out the daughter of Zebedee finished second to Starboy at Brighton over seven furlongs when running on late for her best run on her sixth start and if she handles the all-weather on her first attempt, she can get involved in the finish here.

8 KIKINI BAMALAAM – Two wins already for the Keith Dalgleish filly after a pair of victories at Musselburgh in August but she does look fully exposed after eight starts and the handicapper may well have her measure. She does at least have the will to win needed which is a positive but may find one or two of these have more improvement to offer and are more attractively weighted.

9 URBAN SOUL – First-time cheekpieces for the Worthadd gelding who has a lot to find based on his twelve length eighth of ten to Enrolment at Newcastle on his first run since being gelded in September. He may improve for his first run back but had only been off the track for ten weeks or so and that may simply be as good as he is in which case he has very little chance.

10 FAR DAWN – Trainer Simon Crisford is never a man to be underestimated and will have the Helmet gelding at his peak as he looks to win his first race on his ninth start. Three third places and a second have been as good as it has got so far but he can be forgiven his six-length fourth when failing to see out the mile and a quarter last time and could go close tonight.

11 GLOBAL WONDER – Cost £90,000 at the April Breeze-up sales but has only won a total of zero so far after three starts over shorter. Last time out he finished a fourteen-length last of nine over six furlongs at Kempton when slowly away and never sighted and with a career-best five lengths plus sixth on his Yarmouth debut as good as it gets he needs to do a lot more but is undoubtedly attractively weighted if Ed Dunlop can get him to live up to his price tag.

12 GEMBARI – Likeable trainer Ivan Furtado tries a first-time visor on his sixth start but they need to work miracles on what we have seen so far for him to get in to the finish. His seven and a quarter length eleventh of twelve at Chelmsford last time it was his second closest effort and although he ought to do better dropped back from ten furlongs to this trip, he still has a mountain to climb.
