2.40pm Huntingdon Tips & Betting Preview 14/11/2017

2.40pm Huntingdon tips for Tuesday’s Class 3 race. Although the turnout is disappointing, this three runner Handicap Chase is a hugely competitive affair. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Cyrname has been disappointing since joining Paul Nicholls and Scoop The Pot shouldn’t appreciate this step back in trip, which leaves the confident selection DAREBIN. He was lucky to win his latest start at Ludlow when the leader came down at the last, but that horse has come out and won convincingly since and he can race off the same mark here. With big doubts about his rivals, he can capitalise and go back to back.

1 SCOOP THE POT – Has won two of his last three starts, with both of those victories coming at the 2m 7f distance over hurdles. He should make a much better chaser but this marked drop in distance is a concern. His current mark is still fair and if handling this drop in distance he’s an obvious player. That’s a very big if, though.

2 CYRNAME – Five year old for Paul Nicholls who won in France but has been down the field in all three of his hurdling runs for his top connections. He now makes his chasing debut with plenty to prove and others do make more appeal.

3 DAREBIN – The only runner in the field with chasing experience, coming from the Gary Moore stable. He won at Ludlow on his latest start, a very fortunate winner in the circumstances. That form has taken a boost though and is on the same mark, so he holds the strongest claims of all.
