IN SUMMARY: DERINTOHER YANK arrives here in search of a hat-trick and may just complete it, he has the advantage of a recent run over a few of these and is clearly going the right way so he can score. King’s Odyssey was a bit disappointing last season but would be a danger if fulfilling some of his potential.

1 JOVIAL JOEY – Has won twice and been placed three times in seven attempts over fences but has form figures of PU for his last two runs. A generally consistent type who has begun to disappoint of late and this trip is shorter than anything he has tried before, risky.

2 KING’S ODYSSEY – Last season was disappointing but he ran behind the likes of subsequent Grade 1 winning Road To Respect and the highly regarded Cloudy Dream. He faces nothing of that calibre today and has a little in hand at the weights if fit after a 242 day break.

3 DERINTOHER YANK – The only one of these to come into the race off the back of a win and he is in search of a hat-trick here. Has a couple of pounds to find on official ratings but is clearly in good heart at the moment and also has the advantage of match fitness, that should stand him in good stead and he should run a big one.

4 NUTS WELL – Raced fifteen times over hurdles and got his nose in front four times as well as six other placed efforts. He made a very pleasing debut over fences last time when beaten under two lengths and he should go well receiving chunks of weight from the whole field here.
