1.30pm Ffos Las Tips & Betting Preview 12/11/2017

A small field novices’ chase with a prize of £6,498. Read on for expert analysis and betting tips.

IN SUMMARYOSCARTEEA made only a moderate debut over fences but should come on plenty for that experience and is a better hurdler than most of these so can go in for the in-form Bowen yard. Solighoster is consistent and unexposed so should be in there pitching at the business end as well.

1 BACK TO THE HATCH – Had quite an inconsistent profile over hurdles tasting success just once from six attempts in a novice event at Bangor. He looks like the type to do well over fences but he looks to have a bit to find on his debut over the larger obstacles.

2 BILLY BRONCO – Easily won a maiden hurdle on his penultimate start last season and was generally consistent over timber. Mitchell Bastyan is a very capable claimer and his five pounds will be valuable but still has a tad to find with some of these off level weights.

3 DAN EMMETT – Hasn’t run in the National Hunt sphere for 302 days but had a pipe opener in a staying event on the flat at Pontefract and that should have put him spot on for this. A rating of 125 leaves him a bit short of what is required but improvement is not out of the question so can’t be discounted.

4 JOE FARRELL – Has run in two hot races in his last two racecourse appearance and should find this much easier. Wasn’t behind Mia’s Storm when fourth last time and that one went on to take a listed race next time up so has a good chance here.

5 OSCARTEEA – This course and distance winner is having just his second start over fences and should love the ground. A rating of 137 over hurdles is right up there with the best of these and if managing to transfer his form back to the bigger obstacles he should be involved.

6 SOLIGHOSTER – Has won three of his six races under rules and come second in another two. He is a very consistent performer which is more than can be said for most of these and a rating of 133 gives him a good chance of going close on paper; considered.
