A big field handicap for a prize of £6,469 over seven furlongs. Read on for expert analysis and betting tips.
IN SUMMARY: OUTER SPACE needs to bounce back to form if he is to take this but this doesn’t look the strongest race and he is well treated on his best form, he can go well at a big price. Miracle Garden has some useful recent form and should run his race again.
FIRMDECISIONS – A mark of 83 is certainly not out of his reach on best form as he ran a respectable third three starts ago, his overall form lacks consistency however and he is not the most reliable betting proposition.
SUMMER ICON – Didn’t run terribly in some decent races behind the likes of Rehana and Aljazzi earlier in the year following a win in January but has struggled to get her head in front since the first month of the year, remains a reasonable each way proposition.
KENSTONE – Won well three starts ago and a repeat of that form would see him heavily involved in what looks quite an open contest, the draw hasn’t been kind to him however and he’ll have to be at his very best to win from stall 14.
PEARL SPECTRE – Has run with more and more promise as of late and only missed out by a neck at Southwell last time, any further progress will this course and distance winner right in the mix of things at the business end.
LUNAR DEITY – Has won multiple times on the turf and all weather and ran well after a break last time, comes here match fit and returns to a surface he likes and remains feasibly handicapped on some of his earlier career form; not out of it.
OUTER SPACE – Hasn’t been in the best form of late but based on some of his old form he looks very attractively handicap on a mark of just 82 having been placed twice off nine pounds higher earlier in the year; interesting.
TROPICAL ROCK – Won twice last year and ran well sixteen days ago when not beaten far into third on his last racecourse appearance, arrives in better form than most of these and should be on any shortlist.
CALL OUT LOUD – Beaten under two lengths when last seen on a racecourse just twenty days ago, his trainer has had a few winners recently and if in the same form as his last appearance he should go well.
HAMMER GUN – Won four starts in twenty days in March but has struggled for form off higher marks since then, claims on his form earlier in the year but needs a revival if he is to be seriously involved in this company.
MIDNIGHT MACCHIATO – Beaten less than a length on his first start on the all weather last time out and has been raised just one pound for that effort, should run his race again and if holding his form he’s entitled to go close.
ROUGE NUAGE – Has won on turf but is best on an artificial surface having won six starts, those were all at Wolverhampton however and his recent form would need improving if he is to get involved here, can be discounted.
TAI SING YEH – Won a maiden on the all weather but has been inconsistent form wise since then, needs to step up on his latest effort if he wants to get involved here and looks an each way proposition at best.
MIRACLE GARDEN – Was backed like defeat was out of the question two starts ago and duly obliged winning comfortably by just over a length, ran respectably next time out for third when not beaten far and should go well again.
TADAANY – Ran a nice race when beaten under two lengths by Whoseyourhousemate who’s form ties in with Midnight Macchiato but the drop back to seven furlongs doesn’t long guaranteed to suit and others make slightly more appeal.
