3.20pm Warwick tips for Friday’s race. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: A competitive race but ZAYFIRE ARAMIS sits low down in the weights and seems sure to improve for a very good fourth on his return. He was certainly over exuberant that day and ought to have blown away a few cobwebs, and if he settles better here a huge run is very much anticipated.

1 ALLOW DALLOW – Proving hard to win with over both fences and hurdles and dropped another two pounds after his fifteenth consecutive loss when twelfth at Chepstow when last seen in April. His last win was two years ago off two pounds lower and he has plenty to prove for the moment but can go well fresh and could surprise.

2 RIVERSIDE CITY – Formerly with Gordon Elliot in Ireland and only the two races for Jonjo O’Neill who may be learning his little intricacies still. He ran pretty well in fifth on his return to action at Worcester and was quietly fancied at Stratford before pulling up with a broken blood vessel. Well handicapped now but there are risks involved in backing the eight-year-old.

3 BESTWORK – Six runs this season for Charlie Longsdon have seen wins at Towcester, Uttoxeter, and Stratford before a below expectations fourth at Fontwell beaten thirty-eight lengths on similar ground. Best efforts are on a quicker surface though it may have been the unusual Fontwell track as well that ended his run, and he is possibly best watched for now.

4 NATIVE ROBIN – Two wins out of two starts over fences in early 2016 suggested he was destined for better things but he was then sent to Newton Abbot where he was pulled up before the eleventh fence when never looking at ease on the day. Off for eighteen months since then and although now in the same mark as his last victory, the Scott stable are struggling and he may be best left for another day.

5 JARLATH – Seamus Mullins gelding had a prep run over hurdles when sixth at Exeter and should arrive here cherry ripe on his return to the larger obstacles. He has run well on more than one occasion since his last win at Worcester and if he gets this two and a half miles now he has to be seen as a serious contender.

6 SHANTY TOWN – Yet to win a race under rules and with only the one race of experience over fences when tenth of eleven at Uttoxeter last month, beaten over a hundred lengths after being held up at the back and staying there. Impossible to make a serious case for on what he has shown recently.

7 NO CEILING – Admirably consistent sort for trainer Ian Williams with a top three placing in each of his last seven races over fences or hurdles. Lightly raced over fences with one win from four starts and a good second last time out at Market Rasen, but weakened over this sort of trip over hurdles and not guaranteed to stay or be race fit after over ten months off.

8 WALDEN PRINCE – Four wins from twenty-four starts over fences but none since October 2015 when winning at Huntingdon off a mark fifteen pounds higher. Pulled up over three miles plus at Cheltenham last month he ought to be happier at this trip, but rarely runs two races the same and ought to be a big price again here.

9 ZAYFIRE ARAMIS – Ran better than the odds suggested when beaten a length and a half here over course and distance at 8/1 despite pulling far too hard early on in that contest. Likely to settle better this afternoon with that run under his belt, the Michael Scudamore trained eight-year-old looks potentially well weighted on that form and should go very close.
