4.20pm Kempton tips for Monday’s Class 4 race. A field of eleven go to post for the culmination of the Kempton card on Monday, a seven furlong handicap. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: Now five pounds below his last winning mark, PRESUMIDO is far too well treated to ignore and he ran better than the bare results suggests on his latest start. He was too keen, well off the pace in a race where the prominent runners dominated. He’s now two pounds lower and should be up to taking this with a stronger pace more than likely. Glenn Coco and Black Casear both arrive here in form and won’t be far away.
1 GLORIOUS POLITICS – Not handicapped out of things on the basis of his maiden runs but he has been well beaten on both his handicaps start thus far. He’s two pounds lower here but there are far less risky options.
2 GOLD HUNTER – Won at Chelmsford two starts ago in good style and there were excuses when he was tailed off at the same venue on his latest start. More is needed off this mark though and he can only be given an each way chance.
3 ATHASSEL – Course and distance winner who is only a pound above his last winning mark, but that is due to his very poor performances since his latest victory. Hard to dismiss him but others are readily preferred.
4 INEXES – Yet to win from eight all weather starts, clearly a much better horse on the turf for Marjorie Fife. He wasn’t disgraced at Newcastle on his latest start but more is needed off the same mark and he’s best watched.
5 PROCURATOR – Narrowly forced himself ahead of Black Caesar on his latest start at Brighton but he’s now three pounds higher in a deeper race. He’s an each way player if in the same form but others are preferred for win purposes.
6 BLACK CAESAR – Had a successful summer for Philip Hide and he was only a head behind Procurator when last seen at Brighton. A similar display sees him with each way claims, but his best form is on the grass.
7 PRESUMIDO – Course and distance winner who is now five pounds below his last winning mark, given far too much to do on his latest start at this venue. Off two pounds lower he is far too well treated to ignore here.
8 DOURADO – Completed a double in August and he wasn’t beaten far here over course and distance on his latest start. He needs a strong pace to aim at which he isn’t sure to get here but nevertheless he’s a contender.
9 PLUCKY DIP – Has been nowhere near his best for the majority of 2017, so much so that he’s now three pounds below his last winning mark. He has a poor strike-rate at Kempton and it’s easy to look elsewhere.
10 PORTLEDGE – Broke his maiden at the twelfth attempt when rattling home to lead late on at Newcastle last month, raised four pounds by the handicapper. He’s vulnerable now in a higher grade and couldn’t be put forward.
11 GLENN COCO – Got off the mark at the fourth attempt when winning a Wolverhampton Handicap on his latest start, raised four pounds as a result. He’s unexposed and there could be more to come, so he couldn’t be dismissed.
