1 BAYWING – A useful chaser who was last season when fourth in a competitive looking handicap chase at Kelso, he had previously accounted easily for the smart Calett Mad when beating him by twenty-two lengths but needs to take another step forwards in this company.

2 WAITING PATIENTLY – There is the firm suspicion that the best is yet to come from this one, he is unbeaten since joining Malcolm Jefferson and he has defeated both Forest Bihan and Politologue who are now rated 158 and 154 respectively, if ready to go today he should take all the beating on ground he loves.

3 BELAMI DES PICTONS – Won his last two starts by a combined fifty-five lengths and seems to be improving at a rate of knots, he gets six pounds from Waiting Patiently and if he takes another step forwards here he may give him a real scare; dangerous.

4 I JUST KNOW – Ran behind some very useful chasers last year but a mark of 132 leaves him with almost a stone to find with the next lowest rated horse in the race and the form of his third on comeback wouldn’t be enough to get most of these off the bridle, can be overlooked.
