8.15pm Wolverhampton tips for Friday’s Class 5 race. Another competitive handicap contest at Wolverhampton on Friday evening, with a maximum field of thirteen. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: LUANG PRABANG has won here, with a sound effort on her only other start. She should enjoy the step up to this trip given the way she finishes off her races at shorter. She wouldn’t need to improve anymore to take home this contest. Solent Meads is a danger with as long as he can get a soft time of things on the front end. Kitten’s Johnstown looked a horse to follow on debut, he showed a little more last time and may be capable of improvement.

1 RED TOUCH – Broke his maiden tag here but both wins and the pick of his form since has come at Southwell. Has dropped to a workable mark but would appeal more on the Fibresand next time.

2 HARAZ – Long standing maiden, his attitude in the finish has left a little to be desired in the past. Beaten only a length on his sole visit to the track, he should be in there pitching but is impossible to recommend as a win prospect with an 0/26 record.

3 INGLORIOUS – Showed an excellent attitude from the front when winning last time out. Both wins have come over shorter, with a three pound rise taking him to a career high mark. Has beaten just two horses home combined in two Tapeta starts, not hard to look elsewhere.

4 PASSING STAR – All four wins have come on Polytrack, most recently when scoring in a claimer in May, Hasn’t come close to that in a pair of Tapeta starts, but this at least is at a more suitable trip.

5 LUANG PRABANG – Sole win came at this track, running with credit on her only other visit. She shapes as if the step up to this trip is going to see her in a better light, one of the less exposed in here boasts a strong chance.

6 SPINART – Eleven race maiden has been campaigned primarily over further. Ran respectably on his only visit here but the first time blinkers are going to have to generate a jolt of improvement for him to play a hand over this trip.

7 IDOL DEPUTY – Veteran is regularly sent off at huge prices but it didn’t stop him winning over course and distance in February from two pounds higher. Has shown very little since and hard to put much faith in, but is the type to pop up without notice.

8 DUBAI WAVES – Will enjoy being back on sand after a pair of poor turf starts. She has enough to prove starting out for a new yard from a harsh looking level, but Tony Newcombe will undoubtedly get the best out of her at some point.

9 SOLENT MEADS – Shaped well in all three starts on Tapeta, he had to drop to Class 6 level to get his head in front at Kempton last month. He has a poor draw for a front runner which is a concern but has an each way chance if able to get on the lead without using too much gas.

10 BEATBYBEATBYBEAT – Yet to win in six starts on sand, but she has placed from further up the handicap. This is her trip, with a strong pace to chase beneficial for her, but hasn’t been at her best since joining this yard a year ago.

11 KITTEN’S JOHNSTOWN – Looked a promising type when winning on his debut last season, his form in 2017 not getting close to that level. Showed a little more on his Polytrack debut last time in a better contest than this. Each way squeak if building on that.

12 SCRIBNER CREEK – Dual winner from just three starts over this course and distance. Has ground to make up with Luang Prabang on their recent Kempton meeting. Not at his best in two runs for this yard, needs a little more.

13 MILLIE’S KISS – Just a single win from sixteen career starts, she didn’t show much on her Tapeta debut last time. Her best form this season has come over further so best watched for now.
