2.10pm Bangor tips for Wednesday’s Class 4 race. Some interesting types go to post for this Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, with several top yards represented. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: She certainly didn’t set the timing screens alight on hurdling debut, but TANGLEY got the job done well for Harry Fry and she’s entitled to come on massively for the experience. She loves softer ground and will relish these extra furlongs, so a penalty shouldn’t stop her from making it two from two over timber. The main danger is Big Penny who has finished second on both her runs, however the horse she was beaten by on her latest start is now 129 rated.

1 TANGLEY – Got off the mark on hurdling debut at Wincanton for Harry Fry, keeping on well in the softer ground. She is entitled to improve for that run for powerful connections and she’ll love the ground, so should be tough to beat despite a penalty as this step up in trip will suit.

2 BIG PENNY – Showed plenty of promise on hurdling debut when second at Catterick and she chased home Whatzdjazz on her latest start, who is now rated 130. This is a much easier task and she goes on softer ground, so she has to be considered a leading contender.

3 BLACK SAM BELLA – Point winner who was an eyecatcher on her only bumper start back in April, rallying gamely to finish second despite inexperience. She will appreciate this step up in trip and if her jumping holds up she holds leading claims for the Skeltons.

4 HOLLOW PARK – Went close in a point-to-point but has shown little to nothing in three rules runs to suggest that she’s up to winning a race like this. She weakened tamely when tailed off at Newton Abbot in May and she’s readily dismissed.

5 JERSEY JEWEL – Dual winner on the flat for Tom Dascombe and she has since joined Peter Bowen after two dismal runs this summer. Her stamina is unlikely to be an issue, but she faces some tough opponents here and is best watched.

6 LADY MIX – Won on her bumper debut at Newbury in March, however she was well beaten under a penalty at Carlisle in April. She can be forgiven that run and should make a useful hurdler for Nigel Hawke so, with conditions to suit, she holds each way claims.

7 LIBBY T VALANCE – Won a bumper at Worcester in June, but the form has sent off mixed signals and her third on hurdling debut is nothing to write home about. She looks vulnerable in this sort of company and is best watched.

8 MONROCCO – Well beaten on both her bumper runs for Kim Bailey, looking very one paced at Towcester on her latest start. She showed more that day but she was ultimately well held and looks up against it on hurdling debut.

9 OI OI – Bought for €42,000 as a three-year-old and has joined the Jonjo O’Neill yard. She is closely related to the smart Alfie Sherrin who won a Grade 3 at the Cheltenham Festival. Market support would be interesting on her debut, however she’s likely to need further than this in time.
