7.15pm Kempton tips for Tuesday’s Class 5 contest raced over 6f for two year-olds. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: TASHAABOH will improve plenty for his racecourse debut and the switch to tapeta can see him home in-front. The booking of David Probert is positive and he can land the spoils ahead of Balletomane who has shown enough to suggest he’s ready to win a race of this nature.
1 BALLETOMANE – Remains in the novice division which is of interest having qualified for handicaps following his last start. He’s kept over 6f which seemed to suit over C&D last time out and he’s entitled to go well again with the benefit of that run. Stall 2 is a positive draw.
2 CONFLAGRATION – There was decent support for Ed Dunlop’s son of Exceed And Excel at Windsor last week but he failed to deliver, finishing sixth of 11 beaten 10 1/2 lengths. The market will be of interest here and he should improve following that debut effort now switched to the All-Weather.
3 ENFORCEMENT – Well-beaten in two novice stakes races although he did look to show some improvement on his second start. He’s going to need more time and handicaps to be seen to better effect and is best watched today.
4 FITZROVIA – Has struggled in a couple of 6f contests and he looks to be crying out for a step up in trip. That may come when entered into handicaps and it would be a major surprise to see him reverse the form with Balletomane here.
5 FLEETING STEPS – Produced a moderate effort on racecourse debut earlier in the month when beaten 6 1/2 lengths having been sent off 33/1. He’s tried in a hood for the first time today but he maybe best watched until tackling handicaps and longer trips.
6 GLOBAL WONDER – Twice-raced son of Kodiac and the second runner for Ed Dunlop in this. He’s produced a couple of fair efforts in two novice stakes races and there’s definitely ability there although he’s not guaranteed to produce his best here. May be best watched for handicaps.
7 MASKED DEFENDER – Drops back to 6f today following some solid performances in a maiden and a novice stakes race. He should improve again and he definitely has the ability for a race of this nature so he commands respect with Robert Havlin booked to ride.
8 TASHAABOH – Poor run on debut to finish sixth of 9, beaten 12 lengths in an average novice stakes race. He’s bred to be all speed and he will enjoy the tapeta over the Soft ground he encountered on debut. The booking of David Probert is positive and a much better showing is expected.
9 AVON GREEN – Improving with every run and she posted her best effort at Newcastle last time out off a mark of 63 in a handicap. She returns to novice company here which doesn’t look ideal but she’s an improving sort and she should run her race. Stall 9 is a negative draw though.
