7.15pm Kempton tips for Tuesday’s Class 5 race. A competitive field of 14 go to post for this mile handicap. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: It’s very hard to get away from SPUN GOLD who produced a career best on his debut for Charlie Fellowes when staying on strongly at Lingfield last month. He shaped as though plenty more was to come and he’s going to be very tough to pass off only 2lbs higher under Stevie Donohoe. Waqt stayed on well after a nightmare passage here over 7f when last seen and he should improve for this step up in trip.

1 MEDICEAN EL DIABLO – Has been racing over 7f of late, finishing a close second at this venue when last seen. Has stamina to prove at this distance but, as long as he settles, he should see this out well. Strong claims under Tom Marquand.

2 AFRICA BLESSING – Weighted to his best at present, running well when fourth over course and distance eight days ago, but always looking held once headed. Each way player once again, yet is vulnerable for win purposes.

3 BIOTIC – Now 8lbs below his last winning mark, but that win came way back in September 2015 and he’s been frustrating to follow. Has been very inconsistent in 2017 and it’s hard to build a case for him here.

4 BEYOND RECALL – Yet to get her head in front after seven runs, but there were positives on her latest start when third at Lingfield, despite a poor run through at a crucial stage. She’s on the same mark here and a similar display gives her strong credentials.

5 THE GROOVE – Stays further than this so trip is of no concern and he arrives here in good heart with form figures of 1223 since September. He looks held by the handicapper though and this is his all weather debut, so others do make more appeal.

6 BLACK DAVE – Finished second two starts ago, but was poor at Chepstow when last seen and he’s on the same mark here. He’s capable off this mark, but after three months off he’s entitled to need this and is best watched.

7 SOLENT MEADS – Course and distance winner two starts ago, but a 4lb rise found him out as he was well held on his latest run in September. He’s struggled off marks this high in the past and can only be watched here.

8 WORLD OF GOOD – Well held in four runs for Anabel Murphy and she returns from a six month break today after disappointing once again at Lingfield in April. Impossible to make a case for her.

9 TAILOR’S ROW – Now down to a career low mark for Mark Johnston, but one win from 22 starts tells the whole story. He’s been well beaten the last twice in this grade and he makes little appeal.

10 CONNEMERA QUEEN – Won on her second start back in May 2016 but she’s only been seen four times in 2017 and was only fifth when last seen here in a Class 6 Handicap. She stays this far though and is still unexposed, so could run a good race for the placings.

11 SPUN GOLD – Ran the best race of his career on debut for Charlie Fellowes when second at Lingfield last month, staying on well and shaping as though there was more to come. The step up in trip is fine and he should be up to taking this off only 2lbs higher.

12 WAQT – Six race maiden who finished second over 7f here earlier this month, caught on heels at a crucial stage and never nearer. He’s only 2lbs higher and he’ll appreciate this step up in distance, so he’s a key player.

13 PROSECUTE – Now 10lbs below his last winning mark, but he’s been well beaten in three runs this year, never threatening. Handicapper has given him a clear chance with this latest drop, but he presents too much of a risk.

14 DREAM MAGIC – Lightly raced after eight runs, but he’s yet to really show he’s capable of winning a race at this level. He was well held at Wolverhampton when last seen and, off only 1lb lower, he is set for another struggle.
