IN SUMMARY: ALSVINDER showed a brilliant attitude to beat off his challengers at Chelmsford last month, making all in great style. He’s only up 6lbs here and looks very tough to beat as he’s drawn well to attack once again under Danny Tudhope. Shamshon has won in a higher grade in the past and rates as the main danger as he’s now 1lb below his last winning mark.
GENTLEMEN – Now 18 tries since his latest victory and he was always behind and outpaced at Wolverhampton when last seen. A drop back to 5f isn’t sure to suit on that evidence and, although he’s extremely well treated, confidence isn’t high.
KODILINE – Has gone backwards from three promising starts that opened his career, well held on all three of his 2017 starts. He was only fifth at Newmarket when last seen and he has plenty to prove on his 5f/all weather debut. Others make plenty more appeal.
ALSVINDER – Posted a clear career best when making all at Chelmsford last month, raised 6lbs, but he’s drawn well to attack here once again. A similar performance gives him leading claims here and, as he’s still unexposed, he looks tough to beat off only 6lbs higher.
FOXY FOREVER – Two wins from his last four starts and he ran well against a pace bias over course and distance on Friday, best of those held up. He’s on the same mark and has each way claims owing to his consistent profile from the summer.
SHAMSHON – Won off 1lb higher at Newmarket back in July and results have been mixed since. He wasn’t disgraced at Ascot 10 days ago and he goes well on the all weather, so looks likely to go close as he’s won in higher classes than this before. He’ll need a breakneck pace though.
ARZAAK – Hasn’t been beaten far on his last four runs for Chris Dwyer, only headed in the final 50 yards at Yarmouth in September. He’s on the same mark here and back on the all weather he holds each way claims for his in-form yard.
GORGEOUS NOORA – Won on her second start at Wolverhampton in November, perhaps needing her first run for nearly a year when well held on handicap debut at Newmarket. She remains with potential and is completely unexposed, so is one to watch.
