4.55pm Goodwood tips for Sunday’s Class 3 contest raced over 6f for three year-olds and older. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: This is a decent handicap for the time of year and POET’S PRINCESS is an interesting runner. She produced a decent run last time out behind Clear Spring and she can improve on that and take this off a low weight. Toofi continues to threaten in this grade whilst Iseemist should also go well.

1 BOY IN THE BAR – C&D winner who ran a fine race in defeat at Chelmsford last time out in first-time cheekpieces. They’re replaced by the standard visor today and he commands plenty of respect now switched back onto the turf with Silvestre De Sousa booked to ride.

2 GOLDEN AMBER – Without a win since September 2015 and she’s not suggested a return to form is imminent. She returns to action off a 158-day break following some average runs on the All-Weather and she’s best watched here off a stiff mark of 90.

3 CLEAR SPRING – Finally took advantage of a falling mark last time out in a Heavy ground Class 4 handicap. This is much tougher and a 5lb rise in the weights will make life much more difficult. He remains fairly-treated on old form if he can improve again though.

4 BARON BOLT – Has produced a sold level of form this season including a decent effort over 7 furlongs at Newmarket last time out. He drops back in trip to 6f today on ground that will suit and a 4lb lower mark should remain within reach. Respected.

5 GOODWOOD CRUSADER – Still continues to find life tough following an impressive 5-timer earlier in the season. He’s only 3lbs higher than his last win now and his 3yo allowance does help here but this is competitive and he may be best watched again.

6 STELLARTA – Decent mare who went close in a Kempton handicap last month. She doesn’t look to hold much in hand off a mark of 86 given she remains 3lbs higher than her last winning mark on the turf and she’s best watched here.

7 HANDYTALK – 2 wins from 21 starts isn’t the most impressive record and his sole success came in a Firm-ground Bath handicap back in July. He’s been held off a similar mark to this most recently over varying trips and he may just find a few too good again.

8 PETTOCHSIDE – A good servant to connections now aged 8 making his 59th career start. He’s done well this season, recording a couple of victories although he’s now 3lbs higher than the latest of those. Hollie Doyle gets back in the saddle which is positive but others make more appeal.

9 ISEEMIST – C&D winner and he’s produced some solid efforts of late including a decent third in less than ideal conditions most recently. The blinkers are retained today and a mark of 84 remains workable having placed off 6lbs higher over this C&D. Respected.

10 TOOFI – One win from 28 starts is less than inspiring about John Butler’s runner. He has produced some solid form this year on Soft ground and a mark of 83 does remain within reach but his knack of finding one too good is off-putting.

11 LETMESTOPYOUTHERE – Consistent sort who has recorded a host of placed efforts recently. He will be at home on today’s ground and a one pound higher mark appears fair given his recent efforts. He may need to improve again but his 3yo allowance helps and he has to be considered.

12 ENGLISHMAN – Has produced some mixed form this season and he may find this too tough against some more progressive rivals. He was a winner off just a one pound lower mark and Luke Morris gets back in the saddle which is positive. More is needed here though.

13 POET’S PRINCESS – Interesting sort off bottom weight with a 3yo allowance to aide her cause. Her sole success came in a novice stakes race at Newbury last season but her run behind Clear Spring last time out entitles her to respect here off a one pound lower mark. Interesting.
