The opener at Dundalk is a mile Rated Race, see our betting tips and the full race preview below.
Consistent in the main here at Dundalk, REDDOT EXPRESS is a C&D winner back in October and did himself no injustice when a close fourth over C&D earlier this month. Seems to love it here and should run his race once again. With things likely to drop his way at some stage, it may be worth taking a chance on him at a likely very tempting each way price.
Just managing to get up in the dying strides, Severus showed a good attitude at Wovlerhampton earlier this month. The step up to a mile causes concern as he has only won once at this trip in Cologne back in October 2015 and has looked a non-stayer on most other occasions. Oisin Orr takes off a useful 5lb, but does have questions to answer.
Fifth and never the pace to challenge here over 7f, Little Prairie should appreciate this step up in trip and derive improvement from it, but a record of 1-16 is not so appealing. Will need to have improved for this short break if he is to be involved for win purposes and probably will be looking at the places at most.
Consistent on the turf in dire conditions, Ecoeye has finished second on his last three starts and has been very consistent in the main; although he does not win too often. Has not run well on his only two attempts at the All Weather here at Dundalk, but if transferring the form of his last few runs, he should have good place claims today.
Not being disgraced on some of his starts of late, A Shin Impala was a C&D winner back in March and has been frustrating to follow since, seemingly only getting interested towards the finish. Has a nice pedigree and still has time to improve as a three-year-old. He could be worth the risk today if managing to get interested from an earlier stage.
Winning over 7f last week, Dance Alone ran only gamely and was never going to be denied in a very determined performance. The step up in trip is interesting as he has got no guarantee of staying from his pedigree. However, he is clearly a very gritty sort who will give his all and so has to be respected.
Only thrice raced and a winner here over 7f back in November, making all very nicely, Mai O’Higgins should have more to give upped in trip, but will definitely need to improve to feature in this today. Has the potential, but may well find a few of these too good today, especially as the handicapper has not been particularly generous to her.
