3.35pm Sedgefield Tips and Betting Preview 03/10/2017

IN SUMMARY: WESTERN MILLER was a very taking winner of his chase debut and can provide the red-hot Charlie Longsdon with another winner. It won’t be easy, however, as there are plenty of classy animals in here, not least Jack’s Last Hope.

1 COBRA DE MAI – Bolted up on his first two chase starts and looked like a nice prospect before going wrong and being pulled up last time out. He’s been given a break and has to prove his wellbeing, but if doing so he’ll be a danger to all here.

2 EYES OF A TIGER – Another that won his first two chases before being effectively pulled up on his third start over the bigger obstacles. He didn’t reach quite the level of form as some of the others over hurdles though and will need to continue improving to have a say.

3 WESTERN MILLER – Destroyed his opposition on his chase debut and, although the form is nothing special, he was mightily impressive that day. He must be respected on ground he likes for a trainer with a 33% strike rate in the last fortnight.

4 BORDEAUX BILL – Last seen pulled up behind Finian’s Oscar in a Grade 1 at Aintree and he is clearly thought of highly. He looked pretty useful when winning a couple of hurdles by long distances last year, however he has no experience over fences.

5 JACK’S LAST HOPE – The highest rated of these over hurdles having won off a mark of 139 last time out, he is a high class animal who loves the ground. He will be bang there if handling the transition to fences well.

6 NINEPOINTSIXTHREE – Only a modest hurdler with a rating of just 108, he will have to find a massive amount of improvement for the switch to fences to get involved at all here.

7 OH SO GIGOLO – Looks completely outclassed in this company and highly doubtful he’ll be anywhere near these at the finish.
