IN SUMMARY: CLOONACOOL thrives on a sharp right handed track on decent ground. A recent run in a better race at Market Rasen should have blown away any cobwebs, he is weighted to get his head back in front. Red Tornado went off favourite for that Market Rasen race, he should enjoy these conditions as well but he is becoming inconsistent. Man Of Plenty has run a pair of excellent races this season already. This sharper test at the trip might not be ideal for him but his recent form is the strongest in the field.

1 RED TORNADO – Sent off favourite for a Listed race at Market Rasen last time, he was bitterly disappointing. Runner-up in a similar contest the time before, he has become rather inconsistent. A sharp right handed track suits perfectly so conditions are fine if on a going day.

2 ZALVADOS – Progressive at this trip in his first season of hurdling, presented with some tough tasks along the way. Struggles to get his head in front, runner-up at Bangor on Tuesday. Thereabouts if turned out again but others preferred from a win perspective.

3 CLOONACOOL – Conditions looks perfect, a sharp right handed track plays to his strengths. Well supported when ahead of Red Tornado in a deeper race last time, a two pound drop makes him well weighted with that run to put him straight. Looks a big player.

4 MAN OF PLENTY – A pair of smart runs already this season, runner-up at both Chepstow and Cheltenham. The latter was just five days ago, hampered close home when challenging. Big shout on those efforts but may not get the end to end gallop he needs in a small field.

5 BARMAN – Sharp two miles suits him ideally, slipped back to a winnable mark following some below par efforts. Ground looks fine for him, but he can race keenly which would be a concern in such a small field. Chance if settling in the early stages.
