IN SUMMARY: HILLCREST FIRE was a smart flat performer for Sheila Lavery and could have a bright future ahead of him over hurdles. If taking well to jumping he should be tough to beat here as he holds most of these on flat ratings. Glorvina has run a couple of nice races so far over hurdles and can give the selection most to do.

1 GLORVINA – Has raced three times over hurdles and was successful on debut as well as being second last time out. She was disappointing on her second start but showed plenty in her other starts and another bold showing can be expected.

2 HILLCREST FIRE – Raced five times on the flat for Sheila Lavery before being sent to Stuart Edmunds to go hurdling. She achieved a rating of 90 on the flat which stands her in good stead to make up into a useful hurdler, claims.

3 PENNY RED – Has run nine times in total under rules without a win and that losing streak will most likely extend to ten today. Made a modest hurdling debut last time when sixth and was rated just 55 on the flat which leaves her with plenty to find.

4 REALLY SUPER – Made a pleasing debut over timber when beaten less than a length and should be able to build on that today. Was previously rated in the mid 70s on the flat so clearly has plenty of ability and may be able to put her experience to good use here.

5 ROYAL ICON – Another who switches from the flat but she only earned a rating of 55 there after thirteen starts and there are a few more obviously talented horses than her in the lineup. She isn’t without a chance but will need to relish going over jumps to bridge the gap on the likes of Hillcrest Fire.

6 SHEE’S LUCKY – Ran six times on the flat and received a rating of 62 for her troubles. She is yet to win a race under rules and a switch to jumping may help but she has plenty to find off levels with a few of these if they transfer their ability to jumps.

7 SO HOITY TOITY – A seven race maiden on the flat but achieved a rating of 72 which leaves her with a bit in hand over a few of these. She will need to jump well if she is to trouble those with experience but she is useful and comes here with solid claims.
