IN SUMMARY: A tricky contest can go the way of CLEMENCY, who was very unlucky not to win latest at Sandown after being hampered at a very crucial stage. She travelled well that day and should be capable of better and is given the nod. Pulling Power is eased in grade and probably the main danger along with Deja Bougg who although is 0-21 is running well under both codes of late.

1 PULLING POWER – Shaped with promise on his reappearance at Ascot latest after travelling well before fading towards the last (2m5f, Good to Soft). Drops down in Grade today and if building upon that effort she has a huge chance of notching up a 2nd victory of her career.

2 DEJA BOUGG – 0-12 but running well of late under both codes and in handicaps the last twice, the latest when a close 4th at Warwick (2m3f, Good). This step up in trip is probably the right move but it’s hard to get excited about his chances with a record as bad as hers.

3 CLEMENCY – Very unlucky not to win latest when getting hampered at a crucial stage at Sandown (2m3f, Good), which was nevertheless a good effort. She should be capable of better if getting a clean round and with the Henderson stable in fine fettle, she gets the nod today.

4 OSCAR JUNE – Progressing nicely last season before pulling up at Warwick in May (3m1f, Good). Worth a market check on her seasonal return as she could be dangerous if resuming her progress.

5 LIGHTS OF BROADWAY – Uninspiring record overall and last seen when a tailed off last at Chepstow in March (2m3f, Heavy). Would need to return at near her peak to get involved and with that being quite unlikely, she is passed over.

6 SWEETLITTLEKITTY – 33/1 when last seen winning narrowly at Worcester in June (2m7f, Good to Soft). Fair mark for today’s handicap debut but the drop back in trip isn’t an obvious choice after staying on well over further, but if okay with the drop she has definite each way chances.

7 MISS TOGABEZI – Doesn’t seem to be improving and was a fair 4th of 12 latest at Warwick (2m5f, Good), a similar effort to her previous. Needs to show more and probably best watched on seasonal reappearance.

8 TULLOW TONIC – Won well enough at Towcester latest (2m5f, Good to Soft) last Thursday but goes up in grade with a penalty to contend to which tempers enthusiasm. Needs to show more and might find this too tough.
