2.35pm Cheltenham Tips & Betting Preview 28/10/2017

2.35pm Cheltenham tips for Saturday’s Class 2 race. Bitterly disappointing line-up of just four runners given that they are chasing a first prize of almost £22,000. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: BEDROCK has looked very smart in his two wins in this discipline, running his rivals ragged last time. He needs to brush up on his jumping, but he is the top rated in this line-up and is more resolute in a finish than Twobeelucky who is the biggest danger on ratings. Golden Jeffrey is sent down from Scotland, the sole runner on the card for his trainer. He is well capable of getting in the mix if there are any chinks in the armour of the front pair in the betting.

1 ARTHINGTON – Picked up a pair of minor events before well beaten by a rival rated 123. That level of form is some way short of what is required here, though conditions will at least suit.

2 BEDROCK – Solid on the flat, he is already a winner of two of his four stats so far over hurdles. These conditions are perfect, similar to when running the field into the floor from the front last time. Best in on official ratings, he’ll take the world of beating.

3 GOLDEN JEFFREY – All ground comes alike, he has made a smart start to his career, a wide margin winner last time over hurdles. This is a tougher assignment but he is the sole runner on the card for Scottish trainer Iain Jardine so needs respect.

4 TWOBEELUCKY – Second best in at the weights, he lost nothing in defeat at the Galway Festival to a potentially top notch recruit. Carries his head a little high and has finished weakly on the flat so needs more to beat Bedrock.
