2.30pm Kempton Tips & Betting Preview 27/11/2017

An interesting handicap chase over two and a half miles that will take a combination of speed and stamina from the winner. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

1 FOREVER FIELD – He represents a top stable in Nicky Henderson and he has won once over fences when successful at Worcester at this sort of trip in June but he found the step up to handicap company a lot tougher last time when eighth of thirteen at Ludlow beaten twenty-two lengths on his first try at three miles. He may have found that a bridge too far and will strip race fit now and could do better back at this trip – Nico de Boinville rides.

2 BISHOPS COURT – three wins in a row in handicaps last season at Fontwell and twice at Wincanton saw Neil Mulholland’s seven-year-old put up to a rating of 132 after which he finished last of five at Sedgefield. Given the summer off he returned to action back at Wincanton in October with a thirty-four length seventh and should be cherry-ripe now off two pounds lower but does need to get back to his better form.

3 PLAY THE ACE – Peter Bowen’s Scorpion gelding is looking to land his hat-trick here after wins at Stratford over two and three-quarter miles and then at Wincanton over this trip. Put up another seven pounds for a ten-length defeat of Turban and needs to improve again, but he did win pretty easily and may yet have even more to offer even though the stable are a little out of sorts with ten losing runners in the last two weeks.

4 VOLT FACE – Yet to win over fences after five starts but he has finished second in three of them so clearly has plenty of ability. He seems to stay on over shorter but weakens over further so this may well be his ideal trip and at these weights he looks to have every chance of getting off the mark at last.

5 FAVORITO BUCK’S – Another who is still a maiden over fences after four attempts with a two and half-length third to Eyesopenwideawake here over a couple of furlongs shorter last time out when running on late after being left with a bit too much to do. The step up in trip ought to suit but he has fallen and pulled up in two of his last four starts which has to be of concern to any of his supporters here.

6 BREATH OF BLIGHTY – Shrewd trainer Paul Webber has added cheekpieces for the first time this afternoon to the son of Policy Maker who won over this course and distance back in March in a novice handicap off exactly this rating, but who hasn’t bothered the judge since in three starts with a twenty-seven length eighth her over short last month.

7 GORES ISLAND – Pulled up at Newbury last time out over this trip in a similar standard after starting at the back and basically staying there throughout before being tailed off before the business end. Better than that as a solid second to Perfect Timing at Plumpton proves but he may well find one or two of these a bit classy for him here and is hard to fancy after his latest effort.

8 DANCE FLOOR KING – Five wins from seventeen starts over the larger obstacles for a close to one in three strike rate which catches the eye, but his two races so far this season have been disappointing, beaten sixty-eight lengths and then sixteen lengths, with both races at Wincanton. His last win was off a rating four pounds higher than today’s so he is clearly well handicapped but another who needs to be coaxed back to his best to get involved in the finish.

9 MOORLANDS JACK – Put up nine pounds for winning by fourteen lengths at Newton Abbot in September over further and off his new mark a bit too much to carry when fourth at Exeter over shorter, beaten sixteen and a half lengths and looking very one-paced. The Jeremy Scott stable are going well with a 27% success rate in the last fourteen days and although getting on at the age of twelve he cannot be easily ruled out here either.
