IN SUMMARY: HATTONS HILL is a course specialist and can rack up his sixth win in a row at this venue. He has been staying on strongly throughout his winning streak and this longer trip should hold no fears, he can win at the expense of Shake It Up who won well two starts ago.

1 SHAKE IT UP – Has been in good form of late and the highlight of that came two starts ago when he won easily. He failed to follow up off a much higher mark but may enjoy this extreme stamina test and should go well if handling conditions.

2 ONDERUN – Switched to George Bewley recently and made a moderate debut for the stable. He was beaten a distance that day but can be forgiven that run and expected to come on for it, if seeing out the trip properly he has a decent shout.

3 HATTONS HILL – Completed a five-timer with a narrow win last time and they have all come at this course. He loves the venue and should enjoy this big step up in trip based off the way he has been seeing out his races, strong claims.

4 MOORLANDS MIST – Hasn’t won a race since all the way back in 2013 and based on recent form it is difficult to see that streak ending today. Likely to run his race but that may not be good enough to win unless he finds major improvement from the trip.

5 LOWANBEHOLD – Recorded a double at Kelso in April of last year and although he has not won since he races off the same mark as he did for the second of those wins. Comes here fresh and tries a new trip so should be shortlisted.

6 CORSKEAGH EXPRESS – Lightly raced compared to most of these and makes his handicap debut today. Has quite an interesting profile and connections may feel a test of stamina could bring out the best in him, not one to underestimate.
