.50pm Newcastle Tips & Betting Preview 29/11/2016

Nine Horses line up for this Maiden Stakes with £4,528 available to the winner in which there should be a good gallop on. Read on for our experts’ thoughts and betting tips.

IN SUMMARY: Dealer’s Choice ran really well here on debut last month and was so close at Chelmsford last time out. She will win races and will give it a good go today. She may have to play second fiddle however to SIX STRINGS who ran well in the Sprint Cup and Newbury and will surely progress over the Winter. He should be tough to beat. Rapid Rise can fill the places again.

Brother McGonagall – Equiano Gelding who has had one start so far. 6th of 13 on debut here 12 days ago and will improve for the run. 50/1 that day and market will guide as to expectations here.

Glorious Politics – Delegator Colt who was 6th of 13 at York on Gd/Firm 53 days ago. Should know more here and chance of filling a place if the market speaks in his favour.

Rapid Rise – Three runs so far and improved on each start. 2nd of 13 last time out at Newcastle in June when only a length back. This is a stronger contest today and he could fill a place again. Solid each-way claims.

Six Strings – 2nd on debut for Richard Fahey here in June when going down by only a short-head. Creditable 9th of 23 in the Sprint Cup at Newbury in July and return to 6f here should be ideal. Sure to progress and must enter calculations here. Big chance.

Wild Acclaim – Acclamation Colt who was 2nd of 5 on debut at Hamilton when no match for the winner. Has been off for 138 days and will no doubt come on for the run but others preferred here.

Dealer’s Choice – Twice-raced Filly who was 2nd on debut here last month when only ¾ length down and 3rd at Chelmsford 31 days ago, again close up. Stable in good form and good chance of making a winning debut.

Miss Montes – Once-raced Filly who was 33/1 on debut at Ripon at the end of August when previously trained by James Bethell. Having first run for Bryan Smart today after 91 days off. Others look to have a better chance here.

Red Mohican – Harbour Watch Filly who has had 2 runs so far for Phil McEntee. Only 4th of 9 at Southwell back in April. Has been off for 7 months and hard to fancy in this line-up.

Slave To Freedom – 33/1 on debut for Ann Duffield 45 days ago when finishing last of 8 in Maiden at Catterick. Easy to rule out in this.
