IN SUMMARY: The market is strongly in favour of Malaya, who only found a smart prospect too good on her British debut and she should be going very close here. The selection is ENEKO, who got his head in front on British/Hurdling debut for Keith Dalgleish back in September, winning comfortably despite hanging late on. He’s completely unexposed and has conditions to suit, so if running a straighter and truer line he should be tough to beat as he may try to make all.

CITY DREAMER – Two wins in the space of a week back in September for Alan King, looking very useful when storming clear at Market Rasen last month. There is far more to come from him and he looks a strong contender, with softer ground likely to be fine.

AMERICAN CRAFTSMAN – Made his hurdling debut over course and distance last month for Jedd O’Keffe, winning by a length but the form is certainly nothing to shout about. He’s unexposed but faces much better horses and shouldn’t be good enough here.

ENEKO – Won his final start on the flat for Alain Couetil and looked a useful recruit when storming clear at Perth in September on heavy ground. He’s entitled to come on for the run and the softer ground is in his favour, so he couldn’t be discounted.

MALAYA – Won a Listed Hurdle out in France and joined the Paul Nicholls yard subsequently, running well on British debut to finish second to a potentially smart one. Softer ground will only aid her cause and she won’t be far away.
