Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Horse Racing tipster James Boyle has picked out four Value Bets for Saturday’s action.

2:00 Ayr – Alfred Richardson – 1pt win @ 18/1

ALFRED RICHARDSON is a somewhat speculative selection as he’s yet to win above Class 4 grade, although he has a second and third in two Class 2 handicaps so that adds some encouragement. His last outing at York can be ignored as he doesn’t get that trip at a higher level and a mile around a speed track is more suitable. Blinkers going back on is an interesting move given the improvement that they sparked last autumn and in a race with a favourite who finds winning hard, 18/1 looks generous.

2:40 Ayr – Jawwaal – 2pts win @ 25/1

I’m quite keen on the claims of JAWWAAL in the Silver Cup despite his price tag. The 4-year-old looks tailor-made for a race of this nature and despite not winning for the Dods stable as of yet, he placed in a couple of big field handicaps this term with his York run behind Dakota Gold particularly eye-catching. A possible dislike for Thirsk may explain his last time out flop and with cheekpieces in use again, I am anticipating better. He has all the attributes needed to be highly competitive and the price is daft.

2:55 Newbury – Malotru – 1pt win @ 11/2

MALOTRU caught the eye in no uncertain terms in the Gimcrack last month, flashing home into fourth place behind Threat and the impression given off is that York didn’t really suit his running style. In the not too distant future, he’ll be heading for 7f but for now, Newbury should at least offer him a chance to find his feet before hopefully coming home with a similar late burst and against this lesser bunch of horses, an improved run is expected. He’s a nice horse with much more to offer.

3:50 Ayr – Intisaab – 1pt win @ 14/1

With the promising Angus Villiers removing 7lbs, INTISAAB could be set for a big spin in the Ayr Gold Cup. Being an 8-year-old who is 11lbs below his peak rating, he’s not a typical play in this race but I was encouraged by his last run at Doncaster, where the gallop wasn’t strong enough for him. He still finished it off well to grab third and that pace will definitely be on offer here! The fact that he gets further than 6f also helps, he’ll love the ground and a low stall could be an advantage.
