It’s fair to say that Francesco Clemente was impressive on handicap debut at Newmarket, when last seen in July. He won by nine lengths and absolutely bolted up. On the evidence of that run, he looks too good for handicaps, so the step up to Listed class is sensible. There should be loads more to come on just his fourth start.
