Covey could hardly have been more impressive in his two starts so far this season, winning easily at Newmarket in April and following up nicely under a penalty at Newcastle last time out. This Frankel colt goes up to a mile on handicap debut here and his opening mark of 90 looks fair on the evidence we’ve seen so far. It’s likely that he’ll go on to bigger things in the future but he should take this prize first.
