Shaped with promise on both chase starts, far better off with Sigurd from his most recent start at Catterick. He was still travelling well there before a mistake ended his chance four from home and then falling three out. Placed from three pounds higher over hurdles in the autumn, he looks the type who will take well to cheekpieces and if that’s the case, he can finally break his duck.
