Nigel Twiston-Davies Stable Update 26/05/2018

Nigel is on his way to Ffos Las tomorrow with plenty of runners and runs through their chances for us all below. All the stable starts are still winding down for a summer off ahead of next season when they are all expected back to challenge for the major prizes.

Nigel’s Top Bet For The Weekend

Supakalanistic 8.05pm Ffos Las Saturday

“He has always looked the part at home but had a slight breathing issue, so we operated and he ran a blinder on his first race afterwards when only beaten nine lengths at Warwick when an easy to back 25/1 chance. He has improved again for that run and been dropped three pounds by the handicapper and although no good thing, he has the best chance of my horses this weekend in my opinion.”

Sartene’s Son 6.35pm Ffos Las Saturday

“He has his first start over fences this afternoon and he schools well enough at home to expect a decent effort at the very least. It will be the first step over the larger obstacles for him and I will be quite happy if he gets round safely.”

Hillary C 9.05pm Ffos Las Saturday

“Two years or so since we last saw her in action and fair to say that she may well find one or two a touch too sharp for her this afternoon. Sam rides and make no mistake, she is pretty decent and if she stays sound we will win races with her, I am just a little worried that her absence is all against her for now.”

Atlantic Grey 1.55pm Uttoxeter Sunday

“I am stepping him up to close to three miles here after he looked a little one-paced at Ludlow last time out but he has been dropped three pounds for that effort and if he does get the trip as I hope than he may well threaten the places or better if we are really lucky.”
