Nigel Twiston-Davies Stable Report 12/05/2018

Nigel Twiston-Davies

There we were expecting a quiet weekend for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard but no, the great man is off for a busy one with Haydock his number one priority. Read in below for Nigel’s three horses for Saturday afternoon including the weekend’s number one pick.

Nigel’s Number One Pick:

Ballyarthur 5.25pm Haydock

“He has won his last two and I can see no reason why he can’t add another here despite the attentions of the handicapper. He remains in rude health at home and this prize money makes it well worthwhile going back to the well while he remains in this sort for form.”

This Weekend:

Florrie Boy 2.00pm Haydock

“I have to acknowledge that he may well improve a little for his first race since December 2016 but he is working really well at home and I am still expecting a big run. He is a very nice horse who I think quite a bit of and very much one for your notebook for now.”

Little Jon 5.55pm Haydock Saturday

“It seems safe to say that he hasn’t had the best of seasons but he continues to work well at home and he may be able to turn the corner here. His lack of victories recently are at least seeing his handicap mark drop and he runs today off 123 having won off 138 at his peak and if he returns to form he is clearly well in this afternoon”
