It’s another day of great action and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
All eyes will be on Nicky Henderson’s Sir Gino over at Newcastle for the Fighting Fifth, but No Ordinary Joe (18/1) isn’t to be forgotten in the extended 2m4f handicap hurdle at Newbury. The top weight is Lightly raced for his age and finished seventh in the Martin Pipe at the Festival in March. He goes well fresh and with a talented 5lb claimer on his back, it would be no surprise to see a big market move come for this JP McManus-owned runner.
Training duo Philip Hobbs & Johnson White are in fine form and Ballee (20/1) can be expected to improve significantly from his last run, where he was pulled up at Haydock. He won a pair of 2m Taunton novices last season before finishing second on handicap debut at Aintree in April. Having had time to freshen up, he looks way overpriced here. He’s a talented horse and could be ahead of his mark.
He is shoving on in years now but Sam Brown (33/1) showed he retains all of his ability when a cracking third to The Real Whacker in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby last time, beaten less than five lengths. He will appreciate being back in handicap company and will pick off his rivals late on.
