Jessica Harrington doesn’t regularly attempt a raid on Doncaster with just six runners in the last five seasons and none so far this campaign. The Racing League kicks off at the Yorkshire track on Thursday and Harrington will be attempting a double swoop with two runners. The 608-mile round trip will be costly so the team will be hoping for a win or two to justify the expense. When combined, they form a 62-1 double which would provide a tidy return. That’s Just Dandy (13-2, Boylesports) has been very consistent in three starts for Jessica Harrington so far this season. It was a good effort behind stablemate Cowboy Justice at Killarney last time out. Race conditions were against him as he was only in receipt of 1lb from a horse rated 5lb higher. Back in handicap company, conditions will be much more in his favour and he should run a big race.
Princess Rajj (15-2, William Hill) has already won twice this season, including beating a subsequent Listed-winning Ballydoyle inmate. She ran well enough off this mark when third at Leopardstown last time out after a disappointing effort at Gowran. It’s highly unlikely that she’s here just to make up the numbers in what is a highly competitive race. The talented Gavin Ryan takes the ride and a big effort is expected from this filly.
