We’ve finally made it to Saturday, with the final day of action at Glorious Goodwood headling what promises to be a stellar day of racing overall. To get all the low down for all the racing on the Sussex Downs, you can view our Guide to Glorious Goodwood Day 5 on site now, with this guide focusing on the action away from Goodwood. Newmarket joins Goodwood to form today’s terrestrial action, with the feature from the home of racing being the Listed Chalice Stakes, which kicks off the card. Our ITV Racing Tips can be viewed on site now, so get stuck in!
The Chalice Stakes has been a happy hunting ground of John Gosden in recent years, with Gretchen winning it in 2015 prior to To Eternity scoring in 2017. He has another big chance this year with Highgarden, who only found one too strong in the course and distance Aphrodite Stakes last month. Quietly progressive and consistent, she looks sure to run another big race and it could just be one better than last time. Melodic Motion rates as her main danger, hampered in that same course and distance Listed contest and she’s dangerous if managing to weave her way through without problems.

Thirsk hosts ones of its best cards of the season today, headlined by the 2018 renewal of the Summer Cup. Raced over the mile distance, it’s a race where the draw can make all the difference and hard luck stories are usually aplenty. The favourite hails from Richard Fahey’s yard, with Borodin needing to prove he can overcome inexperience to win his second course handicap. He’s raced only three times thus far, so will he have the know with how to weave a passage? Swift Emperor is the pick of the bunch this year, three pounds below his last winning mark but perhaps more crucially, he arrives here fresh.

We’ve had a great start with our best bet of the day as we bid for a third win from four to kick off the month, our Nap Of The Day Tip can be found on site now! We’ve twice hit the crossbar with our accumulators this month and we’re looking to one better on Saturday, both our Mega and Win Accumulator can be found in our Accumulator Tips section.
If you backed all of Richard Hannon’s thirty runners at Newmarket this year, you’d be £96.00 in profit to level stakes, with just the four winners! He loves them at big prices and has both Lady Scatterley (14/1) and Etefaaq (33/1) running at massive prices in the 3.15pm and 3.50pm respectively!
