Rattling Jewel silk

Rattling Jewel

  • EWD

The bare form figures of late for RATTLING JEWEL aren’t inspiring but he has dropped back to his last winning mark, from which he dotted up last season. Three of his four wins on turf have come at this track so the return here is eye-catching, with a whole host of placed efforts to further his claims back on a course he clearly loves.

Irish Injured Jockeys Fund Maiden
Quote silk
  • EWD

Bred in the purple and has shown reasonable ability in four starts and should be able to find enough improvement for this step up in trip.

Curragh Summer Festival Handicap
Il Paradiso silk

Il Paradiso

  • PT

No surprise that IL PARADISO found the Irish Derby too hard last time out but he shaped previously that a staying trip would suit him well. He beat Trossachs in a maiden back in May and thanks to that one’s success since, he is now nine pounds better off. He has the potential for much better now in this company.

Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race)
Blissful silk

Stepped forward from low-key debut when showing ability in Group 2 company and looks the one to beat.

Killashee Hotel Nursery Handicap (Plus 10 Race)
Cool Vixen silk

Cool Vixen

A solid winner on debut, the form of that success for COOL VIXEN took a boost when the easily beaten runner-up won subsequently, beating a 75 rated rival in the process. With the likelihood of plenty more to come, an opening mark of 91 should be within the capabilities of this daughter of Dandy Man.

Friarstown Stud Sapphire Stakes (Group 2)
Soldier's Call silk

Soldier's Call

Third in the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot is comfortably the strongest form this season in this line-up, that line belonging to SOLDIER’S CALL. He will relish the strong pace that is going to be on offer here, with a stiff five furlongs on good to firm ground looking his ideal conditions. If he can repeat that most recent run, he’ll be hard to beat.

Kilboy Estate Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies & Mares)
Coral Beach silk

Coral Beach

CORAL BEACH has contested three Group 1’s this season where she has struggled slightly without disgracing herself, her run outside of that grade however (4th in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot) was much more like it. She’ll appreciate the drop to Group 2 level here and given she goes on any ground, she looks to have a great chance with our original selection Move Swiftly now a non runner.

Anne And Russell Dennis 80th Birthday Celebrations Mares' Handicap Chase (Class 4)
Chequered View silk

Chequered View

  • L15

Just a single start over fences for CHEQUERED VIEW, her Fakenham success by a fair margin the best effort of her career. Clearly, she is completely unexposed over the bigger obstacles, with this longer trip expected to suit her. She looks the most likely of these to go onto better things so could be hard to beat.

newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Chase (Class 4)
Damut I'm Out silk

Damut I'm Out

  • PT

The drop back to under two and a half miles last time was an issue for DAMUT I’M OUT, staying on strongly at the line. Up to two miles and five furlongs here is going to suit him better here, with the likelihood of a solid pace on offer. He’s lightly-raced enough to have further progression in the tank.

Racing Partnership Handicap Hurdle (Class 4)
Alanjou silk

  • PT

It’s been a huge help for ALANJOU of late coming back to hurdles from fences. He has won the last twice, with plenty in hand last time out. He has gone up ten pounds for that most recent success but he has been competitive from plenty higher in the past and can continue to figure for his new yard.

Adrian Victor Hedley Mogg Novices' Handicap Hurdle (Class 5)
Riviere Argentee silk

Riviere Argentee

Despite winning over further last time, the drop in trip will be in the favour of RIVIERE ARGENTEE. He has been in grand heart in recent starts, things finally clicking for him over hurdles. On the best of his flat form, there is still plenty of juice in this mark so, he has to be the way to side with.

Redcar Cricket Club Fillies' Handicap (Class 4)
Warning Fire silk

Warning Fire

  • WA
  • MA

She is yet to run over a trip this far but on breeding, WARNING FIRE should improve for trying a mile. She was at her strongest as she hit the line last time so the new mark should be well within her capabilities, with a small field looking to suit her style, typical of a Mark Johnston inmate.

Go Racing In Yorkshire Future Stars Apprentice Handicap (Class 5)
Donnachies Girl silk

Donnachies Girl

  • MA

A generous drop of two pounds from the handicapper can be capitalised on here by DONNACHIES GIRL. She wasn’t beaten far in a similar race last time out, things not going her way when she was left in front a long way from home. These conditions suit her well, she can cash in for a well-deserved victory.

Jacks Coaches Handicap (Class 5)
Kind Review silk

Kind Review

  • PT

It was a far deeper contest than this that saw KIND REVIEW placed on his handicap debut last time out. He has shown more than enough to think that this is a workable mark for him and is lightly raced enough to have plenty of progression still in the tank under similar conditions here.

Sky Bet Go-Racing-In-Yorkshire Summer Festival Handicap (Class 3)
The Armed Man silk

The Armed Man

  • PT

The last two wins from THE ARMED MAN have both come at this track from slightly lower marks, including this contest in 2018. He hinted that his turn was nearing once more when last seen in action and the return to this happy hunting ground for him can be the catalyst to get his head back in front once more.

Celebrate The Life Of Peter Chapman Handicap (Div I) (Class 6)
Whatwouldyouknow silk

It’s been a solid level of form shown over ten furlongs on turf from WHATWOULDYOUKNOW, giving the impression that he will be suited from a more generous pace on this drop in trip. He wasn’t beaten far twice from higher marks at Beverley earlier in the year, shaping well again back on Tapeta when last seen.

Celebrate The Life Of Peter Chapman Handicap (Div II) (Class 6)
Greengage silk

Placed from ten pounds higher in Ireland at this time last year, GREENGAGE nearly capitalised at Ayr last time out on just her second start for this yard. She rattled home having had to sit and suffer while waiting for a run, looking very unlucky not to win. She is fortunate to only be put up a single pound for that and can gain compensation.

RSA "Join A Syndicate" Novices' Handicap Chase (Class 4)
Magic River silk

Magic River

  • WA
  • MA

A wind op saw MAGIC RIVER back in front over this course and distance when last seen. He is unexposed for his age so the five-pound rise he has been given for that success should be within his capabilities. His previous solid effort under rules was also over this course and distance so no surprise to see him back here.

Old Tannery Whisky Handicap Chase (Class 2)
Demi Sang silk

Demi Sang

  • PT

The move to a smaller yard and the fitting of cheekpieces have been huge helps to DEMI SANG. He was an impressive winner two starts back, tanking all over his opponents last time until his stamina ran out over a longer trip. The drop back in distance will help him, with the likelihood of better to come.

Stuart Stanley Handicap Hurdle (Class 3)
Young Wolf silk

Young Wolf

The drop in help was no help to YOUNG WOLF the last twice, especially given how strong he was in his handicap success at three miles. There are a number of front runners in here who should set this up to be a proper test at the trip. That should suit him down to the ground, with the longer distance fully expected to suit.

Allan Atkinson Memorial Mares' Handicap Hurdle (Class 4)
Dora's Field silk

Dora's Field

The change of headgear from blinkers to a visor could be the catalyst for an improved display from DORA’S FIELD. She has been in sound heart in similar contests of late, with Tom Scudamore an interesting booking given a level stakes profit of almost £17 when riding for this yard.

Jim Ryan Racecourse Services Handicap Chase
Hard Bought silk

Hard Bought

  • PT

There have been hints of HARD BOUGHT returning to form of late, just finding others too fleet of foot late on over two miles when last in action. He has a smart conditional in the plate to further reduce his burden with both a win and a second in the past at this track so he clearly runs the course well.

Tipperary Town Plaza Plate Handicap Chase
Deans Road silk

Deans Road

  • PT

Nibbled at in the market prior to his seasonal debut, DEANS ROAD was still travelling strongly at three from home when unseating his rider. That was a far deeper contest than the one he finds himself in here so no surprise if he makes full use of this drop in grade from a mark that still looks within his capabilities.

Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase
Ocean Glandore silk

Ocean Glandore

It took a while for OCEAN GLANDORE to get off the mark over fences but his win when last in action was a clear career-best over the bigger obstacles, with a seven-pound rise looking more than fair. Three miles on a sound surface are his ideal conditions so, in his current form, he has to be the one to side with here.
