Bet In Play At Handicap (Class 2)
Star Of Bengal silk

Star Of Bengal

  • MA

The one with the most potential is STAR OF BENGAL, who was extremely progressive in three, three-year-old starts, last term. He makes his handicap debut off an attractive looking mark and his pedigree suggests he should have plenty more to offer this term. He’s with the right connections and should prove very tough to beat.

£20 Free Bets At Handicap (Class 6)
Always Amazing silk

Always Amazing

  • PT

Placing off a five-pound higher mark on two occasions over the winter, ALWAYS AMAZING bumped into one when finishing second over course and distance last time. He’s been dropped two pounds since, which is very handy, and his current mark is very dangerous. A big run has to be expected as a result.

totepool Cashback Club At Handicap (Class 5)
Arlecchino's Leap silk

Arlecchino's Leap

  • PT

A dual course and distance winner, latterly off today’s mark, ARLECCHINO’S LEAP has run with credit in recent starts at Wolverhampton. He made plenty of late gains when fourth last time in the headgear and his mark has been unchanged. Back at this favoured Chelmsford, a big run has to be expected from Mark Usher’s charge.

Irish Lotto At Handicap (Class 4)
Badenscoth silk

  • PT

Bidding for a Wolverhampton hat-trick on his latest outing, BADENSCOTH had excuses when falling short after badly missing the break and having a poor passage through. His mark has been left unchanged and he should be granted a good gallop in today’s contest. He remains unexposed at this trip and can return to winning ways with a strong late burst.

Double Delight Hat-Trick Heaven At Handicap (Class 6)
Arlecchino's Arc silk

Arlecchino's Arc

  • PT

Winning his last two outings over course and distance, the hat-trick beckons for ARLECCHINO’S ARC. He was always travelling best when scoring last time and he’s only gone up two pounds for that effort. He remains lightly raced over the ten-furlong distance and is the one to beat on this contest.

Family Funday Monday 27th Handicap (Class 6)
Queen Of Kalahari silk

Queen Of Kalahari

  • PT

Returning to form with a good second at Southwell, QUEEN OF KALAHARI didn’t get the split at a crucial stage and stayed on very strongly through the line after being switched out. She looks sure to improve for the seven-furlong trip and with Faye Mcmanoman’s five-pound claim in mind, she can break her All-Weather maiden.

Steel Horse Mad Dash Handicap (Class 5)
Ocala silk
  • MA

Andrew Balding’s OCALA shaped with definite promise in her first three starts and bounced back from a poor reappearance when finishing a close up sixth on handicap debut. A mark of 75 looks well within reach for this daughter of Nathaniel in what looks an easier contest.

Polo At The Manor Handicap (Class 6)
Brother Bentley silk

Brother Bentley

  • L15

A weak contest in which course and distance winner BROTHER BENTLEY makes the most appeal. He scored readily here in first time blinkers before staying on well over an extended five furlongs last time. Dropped two, and returned to this venue, he is sure to go close.

Chepstow Plant International Fillies' Novice Stakes (Plus 10 Race) (Class 5)
Bacchalot silk

  • EWD

Ran green on debut and got the hang of things late, should improve plenty for the experience and two winners have already come out of the race.

Chepstow Mencap Handicap (Class 5)
Winged Spur silk

Winged Spur

  • WA

The filly WINGED SPUR is eased in grade and is a pound ahead of the assessor, running off the same mark as when placing in a big field at York last week when proving that she has the required stamina for this trip. With Andrew Breslin claiming five, she’s very well treated and can add to her four career successes in this weak race.

Alliance Leisure Handicap (Class 4)
Bungee Jump silk

Bungee Jump

  • PT

Last year’s winner BUNGEE JUMP makes plenty of appeal. She won this last year off four pounds higher before going close in a number of warmer races off considerably higher marks. Having tumbled down the weights this season, albeit still shaping promisingly two starts back, she is of definite interest returned to this venue.

Willmott Dixon - Building On Better Handicap (Class 6)
Less Of That silk

Less Of That

  • PT

A wide open race in which a chance is taken on LESS OF THAT, who won off a pound higher mark in October for her previous yard. She returns to this grade for the first time since that success, and makes considerable appeal at an each way price.

British EBF Premier Fillies' Handicap (Class 3)
Lightening Dance silk

Lightening Dance

  • EWD

A fair few of these have chances, the one preferred being LIGHTENING DANCE, who won her sole start at this venue. A cosy winner in August off just two pounds lower she was competitive off higher marks on numerous occasions last season. She can build on a promising reappearance when placing off this mark and gain her third career success.

Jim Barry Handicap (Class 4)
Al Mureib silk

Al Mureib

  • L15

This looks a good opportunity for AL MUREIB to finally get his head in front. His best effort came over a similar trip to this when second to one now rated 102. Campaigned over shorter ever since, including when running on over seven on his first start having been gelded, this return to a longer distance will see him to far greater effect.

Height Of Fashion Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies) (Class 1)
Shambolic silk

  • MA

John Gosden’s SHAMBOLIC can gain a first black type success here. A winner of her first two, she finished fourth in the Fillies’ Mile in October before struggling against colts in a French Group One. This level is far more to her liking, as seen when chasing home the very promising Maqsad on reappearance. If progressing from that effort now race fit, she’d take a lot of stopping.

Three Friday Nights Handicap (Class 2)
George Of Hearts silk

George Of Hearts

  • PT

A chance is taken on GEORGE OF HEARTS who would have found soft ground counting against him the last twice. Having said that, he ran well enough in the Victoria Cup and now runs off the same mark as when placed on handicap debut in May of last year. With blinkers enlisted and De Sousa onboard, he looks overpriced.

Farmer Butcher Chef Apprentice Handicap (Class 5)
Real Estate silk

Real Estate

  • PT

Of the three last time out winners, REAL ESTATE makes the most appeal. A winner of two of his last four starts, he remains well treated raised just two pounds for the latest success. With the talented Cieren Fallon’s claim returning, he runs from below that mark and facing identical conditions can add another win to his name.

Visit Handicap (Class 6)
Givepeaceachance silk

  • L15

Second in both handicap starts, this looks a good opportunity for GIVEPEACEACHANCE to get his head in front. He has definite scoop for further progress after just five starts, and he faces nothing of the quality of the runaway leader he chased home last time. The return to turf at a track that looks sure to suit could well make the difference.

Sky Sports Racing On Virgin 535 Novice Stakes (Class 5)
Mutaraffa silk

  • MA

3rd in the Wood Ditton behind a subsequent Listed winner; easy course and distance winner last time and should go on to better quality races after this.

Follow At The Races On Twitter Handicap (Class 5)
Maid Of Spirit silk

Maid Of Spirit

  • L15

Making her handicap debut at a lowly level, returned to the trip over which she scored on debut, MAID OF SPIRIT makes plenty of appeal. Clive Cox’s filly beat a solid yardstick on that occasion, making this opening mark of 73 look lenient and has shaped well over six furlongs in two starts since running under a penalty.

Parker Andrews Handicap (Class 4)
Hollywood Road silk

Hollywood Road

  • PT

Last year’s winner HOLLYWOOD ROAD is on a very workable mark, now three pounds lower than in 2018. He hit the frame in his first two seasonal starts before finding conditions too testing last time. Dropped back in trip on firmer ground, with the race likely to be set up nicely for him with half the field tending to go with the pace, he can gain back to back successes in this contest.

Witheford Equine Barrier Trials 13th June Handicap (Class 6)
Le Musee silk

Le Musee

  • PT

A weak contest in which a chance is taken on LE MUSEE who starts life in flat handicaps from a very workable mark considering that he is rated 132 over obstacles. Bred for the job by Galileo and ideally drawn, he makes plenty of appeal over a trip that will suit far more than the mile he faced last time.

Daily Questions, Daily Answers, Daily Mail Fillies' Handicap (Class 6)
Tundra silk

  • PT

Javelin has questions to answer dropped back to six returned to turf, and so preference lies with TUNDRA, who returns to Class Six company for the first time since scoring in November. Well treated judged on that success and having ran better than the bare result in two tougher contests recently, she appeals at an each way price.

Matchbook Betting Exchange Handicap (A Jockey Club Grassroots Middle Distance Series Qualifier) (Class 5)
Nawar silk
  • EVT

Having only his second run since joining these connections, NAWAR was back to form with a good third at Lingfield on his latest outing. He did all his best work late after a troubled passage and stepping up two furlongs in distance should eke further improvement. He remains lightly raced and the best is yet to come.

Matchbook Betting Podcast National Stakes (Listed Race) (Class 1)
Full Authority silk

Full Authority

  • MA

The one they all have to beat is FULL AUTHORITY, who made a winning debut at Chester two weeks ago. He made all in eye-catching fashion, pulling six lengths clear of the competition. That form has already been boosted since and he’s been drawn on the rail, so it would be hugely disappointing if he couldn’t raise his stock further.

Matchbook VIP Henry II Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1)
Dee Ex Bee silk

Dee Ex Bee

  • NB
  • ND
  • WA

Second in last year’s Derby, DEE EX BEE looked right at home when upped to two miles on his seasonal debut, winning a Group 3 at Ascot with authority. This is arguably easier and he remains completely unexposed at the distance. With conditions fine and improvement expected, he should have too much talent for this field.

Matchbook Brigadier Gerard Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1)
Regal Reality silk

Regal Reality

  • NAP
  • ND
  • WA

A Group 3 winner last term at Glorious Goodwood, REGAL REALITY made a very promising reappearance when third in a mile Group 2 at this venue. Stepping up to ten furlongs should unlock further progression and given the yard, he should continue to improve for further racing. He sets the standard on ratings and shouldn’t be for catching today.

Matchbook Low Commission Exchange Heron Stakes (Listed Race) (Class 1)
Sangarius silk

  • PT

Winning a Listed race as a two-year-old, SANGARIUS suffered his only defeat when fourth to Too Darn Hot in the Dewhurst at Newmarket. He makes his reappearance stepped up to the mile, which is a big positive, and this scopey sort should improve exponentially this term. The yard is flying and he’s touted to make a winning seasonal reappearance.

Matchbook Casino Whitsun Cup Handicap (Class 3)
Greenside silk

  • PT

Building on a very good reappearance fourth in Newbury’s Spring Cup, GREENSIDE got his head back in front with a comfortable success at Windsor. He remains feasibly handicapped off a four-pound higher mark and should have the measure of this field, especially at a venue he’s won at previously.

18:10 Mares Maiden Hurdle
Dolly Dancer silk

Dolly Dancer

  • MA

It’s tough to oppose DOLLY DANCER, who has run to a good standard in four bumpers and one hurdling start thus far. She only went down by two lengths on hurdling debut at Limerick two starts ago and ran well back in bumpers subsequently. She should have plenty more to offer back over timber and she sets the standard in this contest.

Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle
Charle Brune silk

Charle Brune

  • PT

CHARLE BRUNE looked to have turned a corner at Wexford yesterday, landing a big gamble when scoring by twenty-three lengths. He has a six-pound penalty to carry, but if in the same mood as he was yesterday, that extra weight shouldn’t be enough to stop him from going in again under Donagh Meyler.

Go Racing Student Society Handicap Hurdle
Bay Hill silk

Bay Hill

  • PT

Winning at Thurles over the winter when defeating Benny In MilanBAY HILL made his return from a five-month absence when a very promising third at Punchestown. He’s entitled to come on plenty for that effort and his form over the winter was progressive, so there should be plenty more to come from him in the summer months on better ground.

Tipperary Races On Twitter Handicap Hurdle
Something Sweet silk

Something Sweet

  • PT

Having plenty of good, placed form, last summer, SOMETHING SWEET returned from a break when a very good third at Downpatrick earlier this month. That was a very pleasing effort given it came over 2m 1f and stepping up to this distance should suit much better. She’s been unlucky not to break her maiden and in a modest race, she can finally do so.
