Cheltenham Festival Day 2 Best Backed Horses – 13th March 2019

Delta Work wins the Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle at the 2018 Cheltenham Festival

Thankfully the high winds haven’t caused a halt to the racing at Prestbury Park and our Cheltenham Festival tips are ready for you!

Here are the most popular bets of the day, starting with Battleoverdoyen in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. He’s unbeaten in three starts and won a Grade 1 on his latest start in Ireland. In one of the most competitive races of the day, Delta Work has been a popular choice to take the RSA Chase back to Ireland for the second year in succession. He won the Pertemps Final at last seasons Festival and comes into this contest unbeaten over fences with a pair of Grade 1 wins to his name. Band Of Outlaws has been well-supported in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle. He achieved a decent level form on the flat before starting his jumping career in which he’s won his last two starts, the latter in impressive style, leaving the impression there could be more to come in handicaps. Lastly, Ask For Glory (who also features in Wednesday’s Market Movers) is popular in the Champion Bumper having eased to a facile success on his debut back in December.
