Armenia v Albania

Albania travel to Armenia for their last qualifying game knowing that a win is needed to finish ahead of Denmark. They simply have to score here and are likely to go for it. Armenia on the other hand have nothing to play for at this stage, having already failed to qualify and thus there really isn’t much pressure on the home side. It is predicted that the Albanians will play like the home team by dictating possession in order to try and force the win they so desperately need. And, while the visitors have shown they are a decent side, one capable of scoring, Armenia should be in for plenty of counter attacking opportunities in this game and thus BTTS is predicted.

Faroe Islands v Romania

The situation here is similar to above, Romania need to win to secure the second automatic qualification spot in Group F, while the Faroe Islands have nothing to play for as qualification for them is no longer a possibility. Romania have to score, and considering they are playing the side who has conceded the most so far in this group (14) you’d fancy that they will. However, in their attempts to push forward and win this game, the Faroe Islands – who have managed a goal in their last two home games – could be in for a few chances of their own.

Greece v Hungary

This bet seems to be developing a distinct pattern here, as much like the first two, Hungary, who must win to stand any hope of automatic qualification, face an already eliminated Greece. In truth, although known for being an awkward/defensively astute side to play against, the Greeks really have been poor and haven’t lived up to their reputation in this campaign. They currently sit bottom of the pile having conceded 11 goals and scored just 3. The Hungarians however, have looked a useful side and should be capable of scoring here. Similarly to the first two selections though, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Greeks were to find the net in this one as there will be no pressure on them and opportunities on the counter should arise.

Poland v Ireland

The general pattern of the bet is broken here, as there is everything to play for in this fixture. Both teams are on 18 points, with Poland currently occupying that coveted second place thanks to a far superior goal difference. Following their 1-0 win over group leaders Germany, Ireland will come into this one full of confidence and you wouldn’t bet against them getting something here. Poland on the other hand know a draw would be enough for them, so they may approach the game in a more cautious manner. However, given that Ireland have to come and play, we should be in for an open game, one where it wouldn’t at all be surprising if both teams find the net at least once each.

Notts County v Plymouth

These two sides come into this fixture in contrasting form, Notts County are on the back of 3-1 and 5-1 defeats, although they did manage to find the net in both of those which bodes well. Plymouth on the other hand travel here on the back of 3 consecutive victories. Despite being well beaten in their last two games (both away), Notts County have won their last 4 games in front of a home crowd, scoring 11 goals and conceding 3 in the process. However, a visit from the current league leaders here presents a different challenge. Plymouth have scored 8 goals from their last 5 away games and have conceded 5. Overall both of these teams look capable of scoring goals and it is fancied that they will do just that in this one.
