3.10pm Ayr Tips & Betting Preview 15/11/2017

A Class 3 staying handicap chase for a prize of £7,798. Read on for expert analysis and betting tips.

IN SUMMARY: Kim Bailey has his string is excellent nick and KNOCKANRAWLEY could provide him with another winner. He reappeared from a break with three nice runs earlier in the year and a similar effort here would see him heavily involved. Catamaran Du Seuil is unexposed and should also run well.

1 SILVER TASSIE – Won with ease in heavy going at this track in March but has failed to build on that since. Hasn’t been dropped in the handicap after being between twenty-six lengths in two runs combined and pulled up in the other so is a risky proposition.

2 KNOCKANRAWLEY – Was off for the whole of 2016 but had some good form in 2015 including wins off marks similar to his current one. Has had a few months off to freshen up since a few runs earlier in the year and would have a good chance if in the same heart as his run at Newcastle in February.

3 NO NO MAC – Won at this track in February and although not quite showing the same level of form since he remains of interest. His win came off a mark of 130 and he is one pound lower today so is clearly capable of winning of this mark and should be underestimated.

4 CATAMARAN DU SEUIL – Ran a solid race when second last time and has further scope for progress in this sphere. A mark of 126 seems fair based off a good novice hurdle win earlier in the season and Dr Richard Newland has been in good form lately so should go well.

5 GOLD OPERA – Won a farcical race last time out when the other two runners failed to complete. Reappears after a 250 day break but had the profile of a progressive and consistent horse before the break and should run his race again.

6 GRANDADS HORSE – A risky type considering he has been off for 479 days and had a patchy looking profile before that. Looks well handicapped based on old form but has a fair amount to prove on this occasion and is a dangerous betting proposition.
