IN SUMMARY: ALPHA DELPHINI held on nicely last time and had today’s biggest rival Ornate handily beaten back in third, he’ll take some stopping today despite the revise terms.

1 ALPHA DELPHINI – Won in game fashion last time out with today’s rival Ornate over two lengths behind, he is the highest rated in this field and if repeating the form of his last win it is difficult to see him doing anything but going very close.

2 I’LL BE GOOD – Rated nearly two stone inferior to Alpha Delphini and Ornate and will have to take an enormous leap forward to be challenging either of those two at the business end of this contest; others are preferred.

3 ORNATE – Has been in good form of late since a four length romp at Newmarket under Ryan Moore but has a bit more to do today. He was quite comfortably beaten off by Alpha Delphini and despite a six pound pull at the weights he remains two pounds wrong at the weights.

4 ZAPPER CASS – A record of two wins from nineteen starts doesn’t inspire much confidence and little reason can be found to back him on form, he is a massive thirty pounds below Alpha Delphini and it would be a massive upset if he got involved.

5 MAYLEAF SHINE – Probably the most lively contender outside of the two big guns, beat a subsequent winner when victorious on her penultimate start but was disappointing when favourite last time out, has a bit to find but not completely ruled out.
