4.15pm Windsor Tips & Betting Preview 09/10/2017

4.15pm Windsor tips for Monday’s Class 3 contest raced over 1m 3 1/2f for three-year-olds and older. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: LAWLESS SECRET is a lightly raced sort and she should continue her progression here with another success. She has form on this ground and conditions will suit, so this race looks to be at her mercy. Zambeasy may outrun her odds given she has a course and distance win to her name and the booking of Richard Kingscote catches the eye.

1 DESERT GOLD – He’s slipped right down the weights of late following some heavy defeats, but he still looks up against it today dropping into a weaker race again. He needs to show more before a return to form looks on the cards.

2 ZAMFIR – Interesting son of New Approach who has raced just twice in his career. He won on debut earlier this season, but he hasn’t been seen since pulling up in a Listed event at Lingfield back in May. He returns to action in blinkers today and the market will guide best.

3 GIVEAWAY GLANCE – Alan King’s filly also returns from a lay-off today. She was last seen in May, winning a Class 4 handicap by just under a length and she races off a 4lb higher mark today in a hood for the first time. She may remain feasibly handicapped on old form and is worth consideration.

4 LAWLESS SECRET – Twice raced daughter of Lawman who finished second on her last start having broken her maiden at the first attempt. She looks like a progressive sort and she should continue to go the right way in conditions that will clearly suit. Respected.

5 ZAMBEASY – 2lbs higher than his last winning mark which came over this course and distance last year. He may have been aimed at this race and the booking of Richard Kingscote looks positive, so he’s worth consideration here at what may be a decent price.

6 ZAMPERINI – Has begun to show more signs of life in a couple of fair handicaps last month and he’s 8lbs below his last winning mark. That makes him of real interest today on ground that should suit and stall 8 is fine. Deserves respect for a yard with one winner from their last four runners.

7 TAKE TWO – Alex Hales’s runner seeks a hat-trick of wins today. He won a course and distance handicap back in August and followed up that success off a 6lb higher mark by a nose last time out. The conditions are in his favour again, yet a 4lb higher mark and tougher grade might just catch him out.

8 RISING – Wasn’t beaten all that far on handicap debut at Sandown early last month. He’s been left on a mark of 80 following that run which looks reasonable, with more surely to follow. The yard have been flying at present with a 29% strike rate in the past fortnight. Respected.

9 SOLAR CROSS – Won on handicap debut at Doncaster earlier this year, but he’s gone backwards since off a mark of 80. He’s been dropped a pound which should help and the step back up in trip will suit this son of Sea The Stars. He’s not worth losing faith in just yet.
