8.10pm Chelmsford tips for Tuesday’s Class 5 race. With several top yards represented, this maiden contest should showcase some interesting types for the future. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: Wedding Photo cost a pretty penny and is likely to be popular due to her connections, but ready preference is for CONSIDERED OPINION who showed plenty of promise when second on debut at Newbury 409 days ago. That race has worked out brilliantly, with the third finishing in that same position in a Group 3 since and if returning at that same level, she should have no problem dispatching this field on her way to better things.
1 CALM CHARM – Daughter of Teofilo who cost 50,000gns as a yearling and showed some ability when eighth, really getting the idea late on to finish under a hands and heels ride. He should improve massively on that debut for Chris Wall and is a likely contender under Ted Durcan.
2 CONSIDERED OPINION – Made her debut 409 days ago for Ralph Beckett, showing a huge amount of promise to finish second in a race where the form has worked out extremely well. The third has finished third again in Group 3 company since and she should be more than up to taking this race on her return under Pat Dobbs.
3 ISSTOORA – Showed promise on debut when getting the message late on, but she failed to build on that when only seventh at Newcastle on her latest start. Improvement is needed in an above average maiden and handicaps await her after she gets her handicap rating here.
4 JUNOESQUE – Still a maiden after eight starts for John Gallagher, not improving at this stage of her career. Her latest third at Sandown was a fair effort, but she had the run of the race that day and further improvement is needed if she’s to feature here. Best watched.
5 KITTY BOO – Has a big shout on the best of her form for Luca Cumani, but she’s become inconsistent and does need to improve in this race. She was poor on her latest start in handicap company at Brighton and needs to bounce back, with others looking stronger candidates on this occasion.
6 NARJES – Has run well in handicaps the last twice, hitting the frame in two races at Kempton and narrowly denied on her latest start three weeks ago. She is a major player now back into handicaps and, with this surface fine, she is a key player under Tom Queally, despite the poor form of the yard.
7 TENNESSEE BELLE – Cost 36,000gns as a yearling and she showed a hint of ability on debut at Kempton, finishing seventh and behind Isstoora on that occasion. James Tate’s horses tend to improve for the run, however the yard is badly out of form and she does need to improve massively to feature. Each way claims, but she’s likely best watched.
8 WEDDING PHOTO – Daughter of Lonhro who was bought for $230,000 as a yearling by Godolphin, related to some useful horses. Saeed bin Suroor is 10/22 at this venue this year and his juveniles tend to know the score on debut. Silvestre De Sousa is up on debut and she has to be respected, especially if the money is down for her.
