7.20pm Kempton tips for Wednesday’s Class 5 contest raced over 6f for three & four year-olds. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: This is a weak maiden and it may pay to stick with ZILZA. She produced a solid run at Windsor two starts ago and a reproduction of that effort should see her come out on top today. Gorham’s Cave is the obvious threat but he was bitterly disappointing last time out and he offers little value here.
1 DIVINE MESSENGER – Remote fourth on racecourse debut in a Leicester maiden earlier in the month. He needs to take a major step forward to get the better of his rivals today and he’s best watched until he tackles handicaps.
2 GORHAM’S CAVE – Has been very well-supported on his last two starts (5/2, 3/1) and he’s dropped back in trip and switched to the All-Weather today. That could spark a revival in form following a disappointing run last time out on Softer than ideal ground.
3 HARBOUR TOWN – Has raced 8 times with little form to show for it. He holds an official rating of just 45. He’s been beaten out of sight on virtually all racecourse starts although a small crumb of hope is that his best effort came over C&D. Market should guide best.
4 MOOREA – Has failed to beat a rival home in six starts and John Bridger’s gelding has absolutely no form to bring into the race. He has an official rating of 25 and he would likely be odds against to beat a single rival home again today now right down in trip.
5 SECRET WILLOW – Yet to start shorter than 33/1 in the betting and It’s likely to be the same story again today. He’s tried in first-time blinkers but they aren’t expected to bring about sufficient improvement to see him win today. May be a candidate for a place if the race falls apart.
6 AGNETHE – Has produced her best form at Yarmouth in varying ground which is interesting over trips of 5 and 6 furlongs. She has to prove the All-Weather is suitable for her having produced a below par effort at Chelmsford last time out but she does at least have some form to her name.
7 LINDA DORIS – This is the weakest maiden Gay Kelleway’s runner has faced to date but she still looks up against it. She’s been well-beaten in two starts to date and she’s likely to need this run before most probably heading for handicaps. Opposed in this.
8 TOOLATETODELEGATE – Delegator filly who produced her best effort to date when fifth of 7 in a Wolverhampton maiden last time out. She’s officially rated 48 and the first-time tongue tie is unlikely to produce a substantial increase on her previous form. Best watched.
9 ZILZA – Still contesting maidens now making her 15th career start but she has shown ability. She was only beaten 1/2 a length in a stronger race than this at Windsor over 6f and a reproduction of that effort would surely see her go very close in this. Respected today with Robert Havlin back in the saddle.
