6.40pm Kempton tips for Wednesday’s Class 5 contest raced over 6f for two-year-olds. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: This should be fought out by the market leaders and MODERN LOVE can come out on top. She makes the long journey from Ireland to break her maiden and her trainer has found her a good opportunity to do so. Left Alone ranks as her main rival following a pleasing performance on debut at York.
2 GLAMOROUS DREAM – Showed a tiny glimpse of ability on debut at Chepstow but Ron Harris’s filly will need more time and handicap company to be seen to best effect. The yard are without a winner from nine runners in the past fortnight, however.
3 GOLDEN DEAL – Steps back down in trip having failed to show much improvement over 7f last time out. She qualifies for handicaps after this run and she’s best watched until then for Richard Phillips.
4 GUNS DRAWN – Finished fourth of 13 over a furlong further here last month, but she was still well beaten that day. There were definite signs of ability and she should come on plenty for the run, so she’s worth consideration.
5 JAZZY GIRL – Brendan Powell rarely sends out maiden runners, let alone winners, and his Red Jazz filly looks nothing out of the ordinary. She finished last of 13 on debut and she will need much more time to develop.
6 KAREVA – Four runs to her name and she’s produced some fair efforts in that time. It was disappointing that she couldn’t get her head in front at Goodwood last time out and she was beaten at odds of 1/2 at Chepstow so she’s evidently a risky prospect.
7 LEFT ALONE – Finished third of 13 in a decent Class 4 York novice stakes race last month. That was a positive performance and connections will be hopeful that she can go one better today now switched to slightly weaker company. James Doyle remains in the saddle and the yard have a 19% strike rate at present.
8 MODERN LOVE – Michael O’Callaghan runs an interesting filly here, all the way from Ireland to break her maiden. She’s placed twice at Leopardstown over 6f and 7f respectively and she has to be respected making the long journey here. Market should guide best.
9 PROCEDURE – Was well supported on racecourse debut and she finished second of 11 having been sent off the 2/1 favourite. She will have improved plenty from that outing and she showed enough speed for the 6f, although she should be better over further.
10 SEAQUINN – Showed limited ability on racecourse debut at Lingfield when sent off 66/1 and she’s likely to start a similar price in this. She’s probably destined for handicaps and is best watched until then.
11 SERABRINA – Placed twice in France earlier this season, but she’s not been seen since and ranks as an intriguing runner for a stable that know the time of day. She’s worth close attention in the betting.
12 TIVOLI – Nice daughter of Exceed And Excel who has shown more than enough ability for a race of this nature. She steps down in trip to 6f today which should be fine and Andrea Atzeni is an obvious positive in the saddle. Likely to be one of the market leaders.
