5 Outsiders Who Could Make You Rich This Weekend

It’s another busy Saturday afternoon for the ITV cameras with racing from Haydock, Newmarket and Musselburgh. We have ITV Racing Tips for all eight contests shown live, but there are also other races around the country that could have some gems at big prices who could make you rich this weekend.

Excessable – 2.30 Musselburgh – 40/1

We kick off with an ITV race and while we have Scottish Sprint Cup Tips with one that we fancy strongly, the market should be checked for any support for this son of Sakhee’s Secret. He has not shown much this season but a number in the Tim Easterby yard have taken a while to come to hand. He won off this mark at York last campaign on good to firm ground so looks a huge price if he could tap back into his best.

Gougane Barra – 2.45 Curragh – 20/1

Put up as the Early Value Tip for Saturday’s racing, shaping well the last time that he was seen just before Christmas. He looks well enough treated on that run if he can translate that to turf at the first time of asking. He travelled noticeably well there and should progress now entering handicaps.

Ower Fly – 3.30 Catterick – 14/1

Only beaten half a length in a far better race at Newmarket in April from two pounds higher, he has an ace draw in 2 for a horse who likes to be up with the pace. A sharp seven furlongs is ideal for him and if he gets into a rhythm on the front end, he may well take a bit of pegging back round here.

King Robert – 4.35 Haydock – 11/1

Ran in some smart races last season, winning a Class 2 on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton. Quick ground suits him well on turf, finishing a solid third on his return to action at Thirsk. He shaped a little in need of the run there, coming to win his race before just being run out of it close home. This track should suit his run style with headgear back on.

Tenfold – 11.46 Belmont – 12/1

The Belmont Stakes is the feature of the card in New York as Justify attempts to land the Triple Crown. He was only three-quarters of a length in front of Steve Asmussen’s horse in the Preakness last time out, with Tenfold staying on strongly to give a clear indication that a mile and a half will see him in a better light. Our Belmont Stakes Tips will guide you through the last of the Triple Crown races.
